Hi,I,m from Pennsylvania in the USA. I walked today and it was 36 degrees that probably works out to be around 4 celcius. I did around 6 miles and it gets dark at 5:15 and I hate this time of year. Would like to be on your side of the equator. Always wanted to come to your country but at 60 I doubt I will ever make it. We celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow here, a time to eat too much. Well have a happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate it and if not have a wonderful day.

I live in the the hill town of Kuranda just behind Cairns. On your map it's the pointy bit of Australia in the north east.

Where I walk in the mornings [not every day] is a circuit from my home in the rainforest on the edge of the national park [World Heritage listed Wet Tropics Rainforest] to the Barron Falls lookout, then along the railway line and back through a bush track.

Just thought you might like a mental picture. It's very lush and wild in its beauty, a great variety of trees species towering over me as a canopy and the same for birds - many species and much birdsong.

Like most of the world we in Australia are are a metric country. Since most Spark people seem to be north Americans, readers may not know this in imperial miles and fahrenheit measures, but my circuit is about 4 kilometres long and the ambient temperature, being summer here, is around 25-28 celcius.

This is my first post.
