Hey... Ace is the place! I'm sure they've got some... unless I go to get them for you... they always seem to be out of only the thing I need. But they're still the place... they told me so! :-D

Dean, you ROCK! :-D
Take care!

Can we get those angle brackets at the local Ace hardware store? We're all out.

Ah... the crux. :-/ Bummer. How about having the staff use a special identifier for the angle brackets instead so all others can use the basic angle brackets? This does sound like a pain, but perhaps a justifiable one. I digress. Thanks for your consideration! :-)

Problem is that some of the staff need to be able to use html for various purposes on the message boards.

Actually, I was kinda showing off in one of the other forums on this HTML stuff, but this one is very serious and potentially very helpful so that people don't bump into the 'No HTML' issue. It would also likely nullify any attempts at using HTML too. I really hope this gets serious consideration, as it should be a rather simple and easy enhancement with broad usability improvement.

I'm glad you posted anyway, Tonia... it's always nice to read your posts. If I see that you've posted something, I prepare myself mentally to gain a new perspective or learn something. :-)

Take care!

It looks like several people have run into issues when entering '<' and '>' symbols in their posts and e-mails and then get confused or have issues correcting the issues. Could you modify your parser to change the symbols into text equivalents (like I did above) before sending the messages into the posting flow? I would think that such an enhancement would be very helpful to the masses and enable the use of these common characters without sacrificing any security on your side of things.

Thanks. :-)
