You don't really need to "catch up" the next day if you come up short one day--just try to keep thoise off days to a minimum. But you do need to make sure you're getting all the vitamins, minerals, and fiber you need. A good multivitamin/mineral supplement that provides 100% of daily requirements (not megadoses) could help, but it's not a good idea to try to replace the fruits and veggies with pills. There are other important things in the foods (phytochemicals) that you won't find in the vitamin supplements.
