You don't really need to "catch up" the next day if you come up short one day--just try to keep thoise off days to a minimum. But you do need to make sure you're getting all the vitamins, minerals, and fiber you need. A good multivitamin/mineral supplement that provides 100% of daily requirements (not megadoses) could help, but it's not a good idea to try to replace the fruits and veggies with pills. There are other important things in the foods (phytochemicals) that you won't find in the vitamin supplements.

Can anyone tell me the right amount of fruits and veggies needed per day. And if you don't get the right amount one day is it good to catch up the next day?
