Hi Tricia, Just had to tell you how funny is was to read about your MIL walking naked out of the stateroom. I'm sure it wasn't really funny, but I just got a cute visual. Thanks for the laugh, I needed that today. Donna

This might be fun.
I know on my Tae-bo Yahoo forum that they used to have luncheon's. They would just set a place where quite a few of them lived, and whoever could make it for lunch would plan on going.
You could just see how many in your area would be willing to meet for lunch a few times a year. You never know, how many may drive a few hours to meet either.

Wow, that's an awesome idea! I like to cruise, but the food would be too difficult for me. I had my weight under some kind of control and then went on a 2 week cruise at Christmas (had my 80yo MIL with Alzheimers with us, so it was lots of work. She only walked out of the stateroom naked 3 times!LOL) and I sort of blew it. I think a Spa weekend would be great. Spas are nutrition conscious and the pampering and relaxation would be wonderful. I'm pretty far east on Hatteras Island, so a western spot would be new and interesting. Tricia

A spark people vacation/convention would be great. With some creative planning Spark People should be able to plan the whole thing and even swing a profit.
I would buy lots of SP souvenirs!!

That would be neat, I don't have the money for such things, but sounds really great.

I live in Yacolt, WA my girls are in Battle Ground and I have several friends in Vancouver WA.
My art class is in Orchards.

Any of the coaches listening? Sounds like there is a lotof interest. A covention vacation...a great idea. Put all this motivation into individual seminars mixed with fun and relaxation. Maybe cooking seminars, too, to explore new ways to cook and eat healthy.

It would be awesome to meet the coaches face to face and thank them for all they have done to helped us!
Both my husband and I would go!

What a great idea!

The challenge is on the table, SparkBosses! Can we do this?

I think a Spark vacation or convention would be fun. I would suggest making somewhere that would be easy for people to get to (city with major airport not too far).

While I like the cruise idea, those of us who still have willpower issues might not be able to resist all the tempting food!!!

Going on a SP trip might be fun. I'm not so sure what is in the middle of the country that would be a draw? Branson, MO??? LOL Sorry MO. Actually biking across Iowa or MO or WI or up the Lake MI coast might be a great way for some of us to get together.

Lots of great suggestions, Sparkers! I like a yearly week long 'vacation' offer. It could be at Spark headquarters or elsewhere. I like weekend 'spa' get aways at different locations and I like the cruise idea, too! AND, I'm glad the last post mentioned international participation. I told my sister we should go to Ireland in the next year or two and if we could do it with Sparkers and motivational coaches and healthy foods, that would be AWESOME!!!

Count me in, too. ViolinDiva05 will want to come, too, I'm sure. My vote is for a cruise. I love cruising, but maybe meeting at someplace fun in the center of the US would be better for everyone. Let's not forget our international friends. Oh, this could be so much fun.

I agree, a way for us to get together, I had suggested a convention someplace fun, best if it were in a different place every year. Let's work on that Spark bosses!!!

A SP cruise would be awesome! You could even do a SP vacation in a different state every year or twice a year. I always read about the different spa's and retreats you can go to in Shape Magazine, those always sound fun and relaxing.

Okay, Spark-Bosses. All my new friends live on the east coast and I'm way up here in Washington (state, NOT D.C.) They are getting together and I feel left out--How 'bout organizing a Spark Cruise???? or even a Spark vacation at some cool western resort with swimming, golf, and activities? We'd get a group rate, it would be a BLAST, we'd hope the food was ordered to be healthy and in correct proportions. I bet a lot of us would come! There are so many wonderful places in the west for outdoors activities. You guys could write off the trip as a "Spark Expense" and we'd just be happy to get together! White water rafting is a blast (of course rock-climbing is a personal favorite). We could play tennis or have a Spark Softball team. What do you say? Will you see if there's interest and think about setting it up? Even a long Spark WEEKEND (or a Short Spark Weekend) would be a blast.
