This is the first time I was trying to input a recipe into the recipe calculator, but I found it a little frustrating that the calculator and the list of all the foods I've entered previously aren't combined. Is there any way they can be linked together? I don't really like having to enter the same information over again for every ingredient. Plus both of those inputs end up going into the "edit manually entered foods" list and that page just ends up looking really messy with all these duplicates.
Which kind of leads me to another suggestion. On that "edit manually entered foods" page, I noticed I have a bunch of foods listed twice, so I've probably clicked the enter button one too many times, or my connection acted funny and resulted in doubles. I think it'd be nice if the program only allowed foods entered if they had a different name than past foods that were entered (if that makes sense)
For now I might end up using the food grouping option rather than the recipe option. I just made cornbread so I'll probably put together a food grouping of the ingredients used, but I know that when I add this food group to my nutrition page, it won't be listed as "cornbread", but it'll show every single ingredient I used to make the cornbread instead. I'd love to be able to have the nutrition page list the food grouping name, rather than every single ingredient that went into the food group. I mean when you add a SparkPeople recipe to your diet, on the nutrition page it lists the recipe as the recipe's name and not every single ingredient that was used in the recipe. I wish the food grouping was done the same way.
Sorry if I blabbed on for so long! But thanks if you read all this
