Recently, a doctor on TV--either Oprah or The View, I think--said that the 8 glasses do NOT NEED to be water. You can also count other liquids, such as juice, iced tea, etc. Since many liquids we like to drink are diuretics, some of what you drink DOES NEED to be water. Also, it is easier for me to drink straight down a glass of water (8-10 oz) if it is room temperature rather than ice cold. And think about this: If you are consciously managing to drink 5 glasses of water a day, you must be getting a lot more water than you are used to drinking. That's progress! Sue

Hi everyone

I'm new here, just finding my way round the site...does anyone have any tips on how to get 8 cups of water down? i'm finding it hard to do ..I struggle with 5! also does anyone know how or what foods not to have to keep the selenium down below 200?

I was having a Tuna salad for my dinner tomorrow..but have found ive had to cut the Tuna down
to a very small portion to get this to under 200

Any tips would be great
