| I'm a brand newbie, and since I already lost 2# this past week, I'd like to join your challenge to lose 2#/wk in August.

Well my official weigh in day is on Mondays. I came in at 158.5 lbs. that is a 2 lb. loss. YEA!!! I think it is the first for me in the 18 weeks I have been working on building a healthier lifestyle. I kept my calories within range and exercised 6 days. I plan to work hard and keep to these goals again this week. I am also celebrating going past my half way mark. I started in April at 180 lbs., and I am now over halfway to my goal. It feels good to be out of the 160's since I was there for almost 2 1/2 months and working on the 2nd 20 lbs. How is everyone else doing? Barb

| I would love to give this challenge a try. I am starting week 18 of my new healthy eating and more exercise plan. So far I have lost 19.5 lbs.(12 before I found sparkpeople). I am doing good to lose 1 to 1.5 lbs. a week. In June I spent 3 weeks at the same weight so CeeBee I feel your Joy. For June and July I have been on the go a lot and have not been able to exercise the 5 or 6 days a week like I need. I should be home for the next couple of weeks, so I would like to see if more consistent exercise will get me a 2 lb. loss. I am already on the way, I did 2 Firm tapes today and may do a short walk on the treadmill. Just losing 1 lb. will get me into the 150's and get me over half way to my goal from my start weight of 180 in April. So let's do it! Barb

Hi Hope - I'm up for the 2# a week challenge in August - I've lost about 15# this summer, but need to get moving again - I also have to keep up with the exercise - in August I'm going to try to vary my type of exercise a little more. The challenge could probably help me, too, because students come back to school mid-August and I have a very busy and new schedule. Have a good day - will we have weigh in day on Tuesday's? LindaK

| At 58, I'm up for the challenge of lose 2# a week in Aug. My biggest challenge is exercising so I don't lapse back into 2 days down. Hope all is well with each of you.
