Betty,
I can't change it. The only thing I can recommend is to resubmit the recipe.
Sorry !

dear jen, I recently submitted a recipe, viva la grits, it read 1/2 cup cooked grits but it should have read 1/2 cup of uncooked grits. I didn't know how to change it. Can you change it?
Oops, so sorry!

A,
Thanks for your feedback. A lot of times it helps if you search "these exact words"- then you can find what you want much more quickly.
Most of our foods come from the USDA database, so we're importing the foods as well as the serving size options. If you click the drop down menu on some of the foods, you should have options as to what the unit of measurement will be.
Hope that helps a little!

Hi there, I absolutely love the SparkPeople site and appreciate all that it has to offer. I know that this has been discussed before but I just want to reiterate that the food database needs some organizational help. Once I find a food, I now put it in my favorites because there are several times I've spent a lot of time searching for it. And once I finally find it I don't want to go through that search again. Having the results alphabetized would make things a lot easier. I think that you probably lose some people because in their eyes it takes too much effort to track their food. The easier it is to use the database, the more people will stick to tracking.
One other thing. On several searches I find a food and the amount is "one serving" but it doesn't specify what that one serving is. If you don't know how much one serving is considered, than it makes it very difficult to track what you've eaten. If I eat a cup of something and it says one serving, I have no way of converting that cup into servings. (Does that make sense?) Any ideas?
