Thanks to both ATTWOOD and CHRISTINECOLO,
for your suggestions. I am buying me some Shea Butter and coconut oil tomorrow. I also plan to exercise, which I really hate to do, but I hate lose hanging skin even more.

Again thanks to all

I am also being very liberal with Shea Butter with Coconut oil...it gives the skin back a little of it's bounce.

The strength exercises proposed by Spark can provide the toning that you need I believe. If only you can make a habit of doing those exercises. I have a treadmill with a television in front of it and it is easy to establish the habit of going to my treadmill and walking. However, doing strength exercises calls for focus on what you are doing and establishing a habit of doing those kind of exercises remains a problem for me. Check the strength exercises out!

Thannks ARDENWINDS,

I appreciate all the imformation I can get. Since I hate the heat we are having at this time of year, I think I will join a health club to exercise in. I love air conditioning.

Thanks to all

I was afraid of the same thing! I've lost about 70 pounds over the last year. I watched what I ate and added a LOT of walking. I wasn't as faithful to toning exercises as I should have been. Walking, housework and outside activities definitely played a big role in my weight loss and the lack of hanging skin. I still have a ways to go, however, I don't have unsightly 'overhang' from excess skin - but I'm not as 'toned' as I would be if I had stuck to the toning exercises all along. I'm working on it. Wishing you the best!

I took 11 months to lose 57 pounds and walked almost every day as well as doing crunches, reverse crunches and free weights etc, I shared your exact concerns about loose skin so used that to be very dilligent about doing toning exercises...every day. It took another year for the unwanted 'drape' to tone up but it is worth the effort to feel so much healthier and have energy. and now exercise has become a happy habit!
I also believe eating the healthiest unprocessed foods possible in proper balance ...all the things SP recommends..makes it easier to get the toned body.
Enjoy!

I have over 50 pounds to lose and am not having a problem at all with losing, but am concerned with the possibility of having hanging skin after losing so much weight. I am 60 years old, with no wrinkles, I guess my added weight has me rounded out and I do want to lose. However, I don't want to look like a wrinkled dried up old prune with skin hanging to my knees. I have seen some people who have lost a large amount of weight look like this.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to avoid the hanging skin problem after a large weight loss??
I really would like to have some advise.

Thank you,

Victorian Rose
