Hi Paula,
I'm new too. I've got a lot more weight to lose than you do, but I am determined to lose it this time. I am trying to make small changes that I can live with for the rest of my life. The best thing that I did was to adopt a dog. She gets me up early every morning and I have to walk her. I am trying to go a little farther every week and so far I am doing it. I have arthritis in my knees, so it is hard sometimes. What works for you?

Hi, everyone...

I found this site yesterday, and signed up once I took a look. I completely missed the getting fit over 50. It certainly is different than getting fit at 20. It's a challenge, but in the long run it's worth it. I've been trying to get from 132 to 120 since last year, and I've had a tough time with backsliding. I have always pretty much managed to maintain my weight, but I let my career take over a couple of years to the point that it was nearly killing me. My biggest obstacle is stress, and giving in to bad habits when I'm stressed.
