Have a good night, everyone.
Weigh in, I hope to lose also.

Been fairly careful this weekend. But haven't exercised.
Had such cramps, that I just have gotten back at it. Plus it has been raining for quite a while.

Bee - Hope you see some results at TOPS!

I guess the 55 lbs I have lost since last year, is starting to be more noticeable as the comments are positive that I am getting lately - maybe it's shedding od winter clothes eh! What ever I'll take those compliments when ever they come along!

Aunt Bee

That must of been nice to see everyone's pictures.

We have an art gallery here in town, many varieties of art studios plus alot of the local eateries in town feature local artist paintings and hand crafted works, for sale of course!

We were to get rain today but the weatherman was wrong. It is warm and sunny.

The art class was fun, one of my pictures went in to a show. Everyone had a picture in the show. Was nice to see a picture proof of all of our pictures.

Spent some time with friends and family the last few days, that is what up my spirts. But the problem is I don't want to be at home. Except when I am playing on the computer. Maybe that is because of being traped in during the wet cold weather. We have had beautiful weather for about 2 months. It is a bit foggy now, but the sun should come out later today.

Aunt Bee - You will have to tell us how your class was and what artsie thing you are making?

This morning got busy and piled all my recycled stuff in my little shopping cart. Once disposing of it in our recycle bins, I went for a walk. Over to the grocery store and the strip mall looked in some stores, stopped for a cup a tea and then walked home with a few groceries in my cart and a couple new tee shirts.

It's a great day here but was warmer yesterday. Suppose to rain by the weekend so getting out and getting some walking in.

Yes it is going to be a July wedding.

My future son-inlaw proposed while parasailing
over Okanagan Lake. But was too nervous to hand over the ring and waited till they landed in the boat before he gave her the engagement ring.

They both snow ski but this year they took lessons in snowboarding. They loved it so much they both bought snow boards, boots and all the gear.

That's great Aunt Bee!

I was at a direct sellers market and won a gift certificate to classes, for workshop on Creative memory's. I am so pumped and excited can't wait to get started. I have done 3 memory scrap books but being part of a workshop is so much better as all the tools are supplied for use while you are in the workshop! I will be working on a wedding album. Starting it off with engagement pics and will complete with wedding pictures after the wedding and then give to my daughter and future son-inlaw.

I have a book to suggest to everyone - "Thin for Life" by Anne Fletcher. It was written a few years ago but it's excellent and contains many real-life stories of people in their 50s or 60s who lost very significant amounts of weight (50 - 100 pounds or more) and how they did it. A fast read, and well worth it. Found it at the library.

I am 51 years old, and my 54-year-old husband and I are adopting our nearly 4-year-old granddaughter. If that doesn't make you feel young!!! She is also my inspiration for becoming HEALTHY again. I am blessed with nice normal blood pressure, good cholesterol, etc. I ONLY suffer from depression and hypothyroidism. I know my depression stems from my weight.... isn't depression anger turned inwards? I am on a quest for healthiness. And I WILL achieve it!

Aunt Bee- Very cute picture ha ha.

NThorne--you are right on. Even if we don't see results right away--our bodies are responding to the good that we are doing them inside! We can't quit-we need to keep going the healthy way! I just wish I could convince my kids. They are young adults and eat horribly even when I cook good meals. They don't like veggies--and really like junk food. But I guess we were all that way when we were younger. Spark People has made me so calorie conscious that I cringe when I see them drink all that soda! Calories, Calories--that is the name of the game! Camille...

Don't ever give up or get discouraged. I've always been heavy, have lost major amounts (over 30 pounds) twice before and gained it all back. This time is different! It's not a diet, it's a way of life. The pressure is off. It doesn't matter how long it takes, because it's my permanent way of life. For the record, I've lost 31 pounds in the last year and have two more to go. Actually, it hasn't been that hard! Eat less, eat healthy, and regular exercise. Just what the doctor always told you. :-) It really works!!!!!!!!

Since I've lost weight I feel younger than I did when I was in my forties. I have more energy and a better outlook on life. Exercising also makes me feel younger as I am able to do exercises I never thought I could do...for example..Billy Blanks Tae Bo. That's quite a work-out--but I am able to do it!

Doing things that I've never done before, learning new things and being curious about everything help me to feel younger. I move a lot and have learned to adapt to different countries, different languages, and different cultures and that keeps me seeing things through the eyes of a child.

But, eating healthy, exercising daily, and lifting weights is helping me to turn back the clock as far as my figure is concerned. Yay!!!

I like Deepak Chopra's writings, lectures on reversing the aging process and resetting one's age. Also the reality that we are always renewing ourselves cell by cell and it is our option to renew with fresher choices.

Being with my man for a decade and a half and with him being 17 years younger and having lots of friends his age and younger has affected how I feel younger.

JACK LA LANE IS MY MENTOR! 90 YEARS OLD AND WHAT A MAN!

HAVE LOT OF RESPECT FOR HIM.

I HAVEN'T DONE MUCH TO KEEP MY SELF YOUNG THE LAST FEW YEARS, BUT I AM TURNING THAT AROUND, I WANT TO LIVE! AN ACTIVE LIFE FILLED WITH LAUGHTER! FAMILY!
A MORE ACTIVE LIFE STYLE! EATING WISELY! KEEPING OFF THE WEIGHT THAT I LOSE! REMEMBERING I HAVE NOT FAILED, JUST BECAUSE I SLIP NOW AN THEN!

I AM THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN MAKE ALL THESE WONDERFUL THINGS HAPPEN!
