I think so many people got used to the message boards that the live chat, even though it was a great feature, was not used as often. I've been there a few times myself, even hanging out and waiting for someone to show.
Too bad it didn't work out, I would have really liked it.

If it were free, we could leave it up without a problem. But we pay for the service so when there aren't enough people using it, it's hard to justify the cost.

I never knew that was there!! Perhaps if it's decided to try it again - it needs to be advertised as a "special feature" of the program! I would have LOVED that! Especially in a weak moment (binge battle)...

Hello everyone
We left the chat up for a few months, and participation kept decreasing, even though we tried to promote it on the home page, in the Weekly Spark, and by doing hosted chats.
Thanks for your feedback and we will consider bringing it back again in the future.

| I also visited live chat. Two folks were on it but did not reply to me. The other times I visited no one else was on. But it will catch on if you can leave it up.

The full-time moderator is a great idea, but unfortunately, we don't have the resources to be able to devote someone to it. Perhaps it is something we can revisit in the future. We do plan on continuing to try the "hosted chats" from time to time.

I am disappointed that the live chat room failed. Each time I went on, I was alone. I really would like to see it come back and I agree with Brenda, and the others who have written in, that a moderator needs to installed to get things going.

The chat room needed a full time Host!
That the reason it didn't work! One that was paid for being there.

Me too! I went there several times and chatted with myself as there was no one else there, so I guess I can understand your taking it off (because no one used it).
Still, if you already spent the resources to program the thing, why not just leave it online? Maybe it will catch on?
Just my two cents worth.

I love to chat. Lack of chat was the one thing that detracted from this program, that other diet sites offered.
What a shame its removed.

wow, that is too bad. I visited often but no one was ever there. Could have been a great resource if it was just used. :(
