Chouchi,
you sound as thrifty as me, I do have my furnace turned off, but a couple of mornings I have had to turn it on to get the frost out of the air!!! Usually by this time of the year I can comfortably turn it off as long as I "dress" for it! We'll probably end up with a really hot summer where I wish I could save some of it for winter.
Yes, I am doing well on the weight journey. This site keeps me motivated. I might cave to old habits for one meal but then i'm just right back at it. That seems to be the difference this time. Before Spark, I would have let one poor meal choice affect my whole day, week, month--you get the picture. Now I know that one "larger" or "high calorie" meal will not kill me.
Thanks for the encouragement
and bless your day,
Bonnie

Way to go Bonnie! Two pounds is wonderful.

Our weather has been wet and chilly. It's seems that this year we are going to jump right into summer. That's difficult as our bodies don't have time to climatize. We had a good winter in comparison to previous years snow fall but it was still cold. I have to put my thermostat on 20c at night. I was hoping by now I would be able to shut it down until fall especially with the rising cost of fuel.

Have a great day everyone!

Hey, Dominique,
the 2 lbs stayed off and looks like at least another one by Fri weigh-in.
How are you doing--how is your weather? we are still on the chilly side nights and morning- takes a while for it it to warm up during the day and then doesn't last very long. I suppose soon I'll be complaining that it is too hot. I'm hoping that I will tolerate it better this year cuz I don't weigh as much!!!!
Blessings,
Bonnie

Dominique,
The water is really important--all the time not just when it is hot. I know I do not do wellin the extreme heat, but anything you can do indoors or in a pool would be great. I used to go do water aerobics. Felt really good too in the summertime!
Keeping at it will bring results, they may be slow, but we'll all get there!!! Spark on!!!

Success brings, motivation, in any kind of weather!

It is hot where you are and cold wet and rainy! most of the year.

I do my share of complaning also, about the weather! I enjoy the sun shine, a bit more than it get here. My younger children live here in WA. So I have to except the weather inorder to live near my children.

I brought them up here.. So I am the one to blame for staying. ( To Be Near My Sister and Family!)

It gets hot where I live but not this early. I do what the previous poster suggested and move into the pool about that time. The evening aerobics class seems timed for a short walk after. It can get hard at times to find the right fit, good luck.

How about a water aerobics class? I love it and when everyone is in the water we are all equal - just our heads show! In the warm months - this is the best place to be. After an evening class in the water, the heat settles down and a walk around the block feels great. Good luck - you are right sometimes it is hard to find what will work into your schedule, the weather, and everyday life.

Maybe an indoor exercise DVD or tape or just walk in place...marching for twenty minutes while watching telivision. Good luck on your journey,we are all in it together.

Make sure you are getting the water your body needs.

That alone can, drain, one phycially and mentally.
The body and brain need that water.

Can't sweat if you don't have the water to release, The water cools you off.

Stay away from, sweet drinks. The water will help you lose weight, along with keeping your body cooler.

I am in Texas and right now we are going throught this heat wave and it is too hot to walk. When I get in from work the heat has me so drained I have no energy to do anything. What am I suppose to do? I am staying on track with the eating thing, but that is not enough.
