Keep on what you are doing. I can't beleive how much I am losing already. Last Monday I was 192.6, today I am 189.2. I am eating more than ever, only preplanned nutritous things. I even had a little candy!!!

Thanks, Aunt Bea, I agree that attitude is so very important in all aspects of life. Thank goodness, I do have a good attitude most of the time. I guess I can get down once in a while but I always try to look at the bright side of things. Doesn't do any good to wallow in your trouble. If you do, you do it alone, Right? They say laugh and the world laughs with you -- cry and you cry alone. So true!! Hope you are doing well. I am anxious to get to know everyone here and anxious to see results in my weight loss efforts as well.

Easier said than done sometimes. Practice practice! Call a friend. Do something you haven't done for a very long time such as sewing, painting, crafts.

Thank you Willows, I agree that we need to concentrate on exercise. It is so easy to get into a slump and just let the exercise go. I don't want to do that.
And, I'll take your advice to "Keep smiling," as well.

Welcome Estelle,
I am new too. I think I will be here awhile. I like what I see,too. On the boards, most posts stick to weightloss, and that is what I really want to read. The menus are simple, with ingredients that one has readily available, the focus on exercise, is something we all need.

I just started with Sparkpeople and I do like what I see. There is so much help -- menus, substitutions, exercise, commitments. That's more than I've seen anywhere on the web. I'm excited to get going on this plan. Looks like fun to me and from what I've read, so far, sounds like you are all a fun group of people. Looking forward to getting to know you.
