Dear Willows,
I also will weigh tomorrow and am really hoping to see a little weight lose. The program seems great, so far, and I also like the meal plans and how easy they are. I substitute teach and can have an easy breakfast and lunch to carry to school. That's a big advantage. Having some trouble with the excercises, need some that will not jar my knees and make my leg ache. At least until I lose some of this weight. I'll let you know tomorrow how the first week went. So glad to hear from you. Good luck!!!

Daneen,

I am doing well, thanks for asking. And YOU?? Are you following the menu plan?? This is a Godsend to me, as I get bored with planning meals all of the time. And if we don't like whats on it, we can try another. I like it that all of my fats, proteins, ect are figured out for me. Most of the foods are not real fancy, and I have the ingredients. I like to try a new recipe or two a week also.

I weigh in tomorrow, I think I have lost 2 #...Yea.

still working on the dar_ water tho...glug, glug..

Well if you are busy it probably means that you are burning calories and they tell me this is what it is all about...but how many calories to I burning glued to the computer, or reading...and that is about what I do...I think this computer is definitely my addiction (probably along with a few others)...but I learn so much on so many subjects I just can't drag myself away. Plus I am totally self taught on the computer and that is the trouble shooting etc...so that too has been know to consume many hours...but since we just bought this new computer I am hoping my hours of trouble shooting are over...maybe leaving room to exercise???? My daughter needs the computer now so bye once again.

That is so funny. I am not very disciplined either. Taking the time to exercise is at the bottom of my very busy list right now, but I do like to walk and maybe when this snow is gone, I just might do that.

Well I am hoping to walk on and run off...haha. But if I don't get more active here and now I will be rolling on and off. I need to do more exercise and I HATE anything that resembles work or exercise...not good. Unfortunately I have absolutely no one around to walk with, but even then I like to 'stroll' not "walk" as my friends would say. Must do something about this situation...also I need to drink more water...there is no reason that I don't, I consume a lot of coffee which is liquid, but water would be better...but I just don't seem to do it. You might have realized by now I am not a very 'disciplined' person...much more free spirited and just 'wing it'. Sorry to hear about your husband but I am glad to hear that he is recovering, even if it is slowly...at least his health is going in a positive direction. Bye for now...eat healthy...

Hi Teshss. Nice to meet you.I know what you mean about feeling the heat more when carrying extra weight. We usually spend the winter in Florida, so I like to be a bit lighter before we go. Didn't go this year, my hubby suffered a stroke in December. He is coming along, but slowly. We are hoping for next winter.

A cruise - how lovely. We went on a cruise for our 25th anniversary and we literally walked on that ship and rolled off, we ate so much. haha

Well you are doing better than me I can't figure this site out at all and I don't have the time...but like yourself I want to lose (a little more wait than you) about 20 lbs would be nice. I'm coming up 59. I am highly motivated since 2 months from now I am heading to Florida to cruise back through the canal to Seattle, and in that I have cruised many times I know that if I don't get the weight off now I will be in horrible shape when I return. Also if I establish better eating habits now they may help me survive on the ship. I also need to lose the weight since we will be in a warm climate and I always feel my weight a lot more in the heat, plus I can see it too since I don't have the bod all covered up in winter clothes. We should try and keep track of each other but I have no idea how to do it on these forums. I have attempted to use forums in the past and could never figure how to find replies etc. just too complicated...till next time...have a light dinner.

Hello, this is my second day and so far, so good. I am still getting used to all the little nooks and crannies on this site. You could spend a whole day and still not see everything. At least I won't get bored - that's good, because that is when I eat.

I am 63, retired and looking to lose about 12-15 pounds and maybe tighten up a little.

Dear Willows,

How are you doing on this your third day. I'm still very enthusiastic and following the program. I have a lot of weight to lose, but know the effort will be worth it. It was nice to hear that you were also starting on the same day. How is it going for you? Maybe we can support each other. Good luck.

I was on Oprah's website yesterday. She has a challenge she's calling "boot camp" OMG does she look good! She's even got a six pack. Gives me hope for the over 50 body. She also gave me some ideas for upping the exercise.

She's such an inspiration. This site has really improved my confidence. Skinny

Welcome, and good for you planning like that. This is a great site and lots of fun. I try to get the max. points I can everyday, the points are worth nothing to me but it does mean that I have given a period of time everyday thinking and acting on my diet. I have a lot of weight to lose so need a good but fun place. All the best to you and I can tell by your preparations that you will do well. Best wishes and good luck.

How smart of you to plan. That's the answer in my book, plan Plan PLAN. This is a great place. Look at Spark Points. If you are at all competitive (even w/yourself)working at increasing your points will assure that you find all that this program has to offer. Talk on the boards, find a buddy, track your food and exercise and you'll be on your way!! Oh yeah, drink lots, Lots, LOTS of water.
