OK you messed up. Tomorrow starts another day. Think about your choices tomorrow for dinner and stick with it when you go through line. When I was in college we had several floors. Between classes I would go up and down a flight of stairs as often as I could, even if both classes were on the same floor.

First, don't be too hard on yourself -- this isn't just a diet, it's a lifestyle change. It's not going to happen overnight.

Second, is there a dietician that works with the food service on your campus? (A lot of schools are going that route.) See if you can meet with him/her and talk about food choices in the cafeteria. Maybe suggest that they have one or two lower-fat/lower-calorie items available each meal -- they can be marked with some sort of special symbol like a red heart (for heart healthy). There's a lot of talk about obesity in the news, so they might be open to the idea. If your campus has a health center, they might have some resources as well, and might be willing to help look at the food offerings and make a pamphlet for students with healthier choices.

Also check to see what services are available to you. Some campus have fitness centers, or open the gym during non-class times for folks to come work out; take advantage of those programs. If you commute to campus, maybe park at a garage or parking lot a little farther from your classes to get in the extra walking.

Oh, and visit some of the other boards. Not sure how many other college students are around...if there are enough, maybe SparkPeople might be able to start a board for college students, for those who are fighting the freshman 15 (Or More)...

Hang in there and good luck...

for the past 2 days now i have messed up and eaten WAY over the amount of calories i am supposed to eat. and on top of that i dont know how to gauge what i eat b/c i am a student at college and i cant be sure how they make the food and what they put in it. like for example today i had macaroni and cheese ( i know i shudnt have done that)and when i try to add that to track the food i ate there is obviously no option for campus food. so do i call it kraft mac and cheese or what? i hope this is making sense.. i dont know. the other thing is shud i buy like measuring cups so i cam measure the amount i eat to make sure it is a cup or tbl spoon ect.

anyway i guess i shud just buy yhings that are packaged and eat those so i can count calories that way. i kinda feel like crap right now for screwing up so bad on this diet.
ok bye
