Your welcome Cathy

Just a little tid bit, on scales that convinced me to buy a new manual scale. They do konk out over time . . . in 10 - 15 years.

Thanks for the tip on the scales. I will look for a good manual one.

Hello Sandy

I weigh myself once a week.
I think it is better this way because
One's body fluctuates from day to day
Once a week gives a more accurate reading,
to set mini weekly goals ect.

Two scales I think are important

1) A small kitchen food scale
[one that measures ounces]
I found this useful when weighing foods for portion control.

2) A manual scale - for weighing yourself

I watched a Consumer Report on
Manual Scales Versus Digital Scales
Several Popular brands were tested -

The manual scales gave an accurate weight reading every time.
The digital scales did not and thus did poorly in the tests.

I guess I need to buy some scales. I used to have a digital scale, but it would never give you an accurate weight. You could get on and off it three or four times in a row and get a totally different weight each time. Finally I guess the batteries died on it after a few years. I threw it out.

I could probably just go upstairs at work to my doctor's office and weigh in on their scales. The only draw back to that is weighing with work clothes on. I like weighing in less at home. :-)

I suppose I would be more motivated If I saw the pounds coming off.

Weighting daily during maintaing, is good. Keep weight in check.

Remember, to use your measuring tape and a before picture

How often do you weigh yourself? I have been using Spark for three weeks, and I weigh myself once a week. Should I weigh myself daily?
