Jackie, I wrote you a message a few minutes ago, but I am gonna write again. I found out that I truly am falling apart today, I had a doppler vein test last week, I found out today that my veins are shot. There possibly is a surgical proceedure that might help, and I need to wear surgical hose, but I wouldn't survive in the heat with them, so I will buy a pair and wear them in fall and winter, and then keep status quote until I can't stand the pain. I am trying not to think about the polyps in the stomac. I don't want to borrow trouble. I hope to get on the insulin pump, but it has to be OK with the insurance before that can happen. So I need to keep patient. My right shoulder is back and is like a fresh injury, so I had x-rays today on that, I also have an appointment with a ruhmitologist sp So like I said I am falling apart. I just hope that I can get my blood sugar to stop bouncing. The endocrinologist was amazed that my hbic was only 5.4 I should feel terrific. I do hope to again. I did go and work out today. I really worry about you in Isreal. I do hope that you are safe. Diana

| Jackie, HI, thanks for your consern, I do take care of myself. I even had to miss church today, and for me that is hard as I am a church musician. I am thinking about not having my 4-h kids meet tommorrow night. I have 2 doctors appointments tommorrow, and that will probably do me in. I will talk to you later. By the way I have been in bed all day. Diana

Diana, you must start looking after yourself. You wont be any good to anyone if you don't. My mother had a saying: "God helps those who help themselves!" You should try to look after yourself so that you will be able to have the strength for everything that you take on. I h ope that I haven't upset you by what I just wrote, because I don't know how it sounds (reads) to you. Hopefully, you will understand what I meant. Hope that you are all haveing a great weekend! Jackie

Karen and Kali, and everyone else. This will be brief as I am not feeling well. I have babysat most of the day other than when I was playing for the wedding, then I spent the next 6 hours at my parents with the grandaughters[ whom I love] they are still here we are at our house now, they are out watching a movie with grandpa. I really don't know if I will be able to make it to church tommorrow, my stomac really hurts. I think I could have stayed in bed all day, but of course I can't. Jackie, I have been thinking and praying for you almost constantly since this whole thing starteda up. I pray that this will end, with no more lost lives. Karen, If I just thought about myself I wouldn't be to good for anything, I believe that God gives us each other so that we know his strength though all of us. So I am a better servant if I pray for others. I did leave my problem with God and I will be ready for whatever he has in store for me. I always feel better if I can try and uplift someone else. Talk to you all later. Diana

| Jackie, HI, I am still feeling a little discomfort post surgery, and I am still very tired. I was just more nervous about everything that happened so I got on the computer. The only things is that I looked up stomac polyps and the only thing that kept coming up was things on stomac cancer. I am not going to worry without a reason, I really don't know when I will here about pathology. My appointment is next month. I hope that I don't have to wait until then. I do keep you in my prayers Jackie, Talk to you later. Diana

Diana - I just read your post - how on earth did you manage to sit at the computer after that surgery?!!! Hopefully by now you will start to feel like you are returning to normal after that proceedure. How long will you have to wait until you receive an answer?
I am fine, just glued to the TV most of the day, and I don't have the patience to sit at the computer for too long.

| Kali, HI, I just got home, it's been a long day. Well my stomac was full of food, even though I hadn't had anything to eat for over 12 hours, so the doctor had to suck out the food from my stomac, then he took several byopsees [sp] then he removed 4 polyps from my stomac, which I guess is rare. These are going to pathology, to rule out cancer. Then he injected my stomac full of botox. It took me longer to wake up fully than most. There operation is so big there that you think your on a production line. Now I am home very tired and with a sore throat and a painful stomac. [YOu would think no pain because of the botox and the gastroparesis]. Talk to you later. I won't know about the byopsees until well I don't know when. Thanks for caring. Diana

| Kali and Karen, Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers. I am having the doppler done today in about 1 hour because I have had a feeling of like a squeeze pressure on the backs of my knees, it comes and goes, the last couple of weeks it really hasn't bothered me, but before that I couldn't walk easily or sleep easily, I guess they're trying to find out if it is neuropathy or colapsing veins. The fact that things haven't bothered me for the last 2 weeks worries me at the fact of maybe I am having this test for nothing, or that nothing will show up. Like the only way they can tell is if the problem is going on at the moment. Talk to you guys later. Diana

| Karen, Jackie, Kali, and Nancy, Well I got through the funeral,a real tear jurker. I got my husband in to the surgical suite and then walked over and played for the funeral. I walked back over and they had just wheeled my husband back in his room, glad to say everything is alright, no cancer, which is what was suspected. So, tommorrow the 2 doctors appointments and the doppler on my legs, then 4-h wed evening to do paper work that I need to turn in by thursday. thursday evening we are planning to stay in Ann Arbor as it is a distance from home, and I have to be there first thing in the morning, my body dosen't cooperate well lately in the early morning. Have the surgery, if no complications then I assume that I will be back home some time Friday evening. I have a wedding to play for on Sat. I had to forgo the wedding rehersal. I am exhausted just thinking about it. Diana p.s. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Diana - you have really got a difficult week to face. I know that you will get thru it - just think, this coming weekend, it will all be behind you! Will you be staying in hospital after the surgery or is it a day job? Thinking of you, Jackie

| Kali, Congratulations on finding the right dress!!!! A size 14 that has to make you feel great. You all have been wondering about me. Well for some reason I haven't been able to access this site. It has been frustrating. Tommorrow, my hubby has his colonoscopy, the third one. I also have to play for the funeral of a good friend, and hubby's is at 10:30 a,m, and the funeral is at 11:00 a.m. the one positive thing is that the funeral home is right next to the hospital. I hope that I can do a good job playing as part of me will be with my husband. Funerals are hard to play for especially when it's a friend, this guy I grew up with he was a few years younger than I he was 47. So if any of you pray then please pray for the family and myself as I want to do a good job at the funeral but also be a loving wife. Difficult to say the least. Also this Friday is my surgery. Getting a little nervous about it. Talk to you all later. Diana

Hi Nancy - good to hear from and CONGRATS ON THE WEDDING!! Enjoy the day - it goes by so quickly (I'm sure that you've heard that before!). All the things leading up to the day are really also part of it, and that needs to be enjoyed too.
You must let us know how the wedding goes - + pictures are a must!!!!
Here in Israel - life certainly isn't boring and we are haveing a grand old time of it at the moment!!!! The rockets have began to hit a bit closer to where I live since yesterday evening and so it is getting a bit scary!!! I do have a very long and even amusing tale about last night. If I have time I'll post the story. Now you are all in suspense!!!
Have a great day everyone and hopefully I'll have a quiet evening!
Jackie

Congrats on the dress Kali - that is so exciting - and a size 14 - wow, I'm jealous!!!! Well done!!!
So far the areas in which I live and work have not been hit. But today the rockets fell closer - about 25 mins away from where I live. When they fall that close, then they can be heard. I had some of my husband's family stay with me over the weekend who live further up North. They had been in their bomb shelter for 2-3 days and needed a break. It is defintely a frightening time here.
This situation is really not good for dieting - I'm eating too much and too much "bad" stuff!
My son is serving in a base right at the Northern border and I'm not sure if he is safer where he is there, than I am here. We too are all praying for peace, and the hope here is that once this is all over, hopefully sooner rather than later, then life will be more peacefull in this area. Many thanks for all your good wishes and prayers. Jackie

I bought my dress for the wedding! Yippee! It's cute, it's brown (the same color as the bridesmaids) and it's a size 14! The bridal shower's on the 12th so I'll fly up for that... it's getting close!
Jackie, how do all the hostilities in Lebanon affect you... or do they? I pray everyone gets back to negotiations so we can have peace. War, or whatever they want to call it, never solves anything.

Karen - 1 kilo is equal to 2 lbs 2 oz. At the moment I actually weigh 172 lbs - which is just over 78 kilos - I haven't changed my tape thing 'cos I am determined that I will get there again soon! 76 kilos is about 167.5 lbs. My dream weight is about 132 lbs, but I'll be satisfied at this stage to get to 154 lbs. Wonder how Diana is. I hope that she is ok, its not like her not to post anything for a few days. Have a good evening, Jackie
