I usually exercise in the evening, after dinner and before tv relaxation time.

I try to exercise before I eat anything in the morning. Just have some water handy. Get the hard part of the day over first!!

What I've heard is two fold. I've heard exercise on an empty stomach first thing in the morning and will tap into fat right away. The other thing I've heard is, eat a little something wait a half hour or so and then exercise. Or else if you don't have something in your stomach you'll burn muscle and not fat. Now to me that doesn't sound right. I think what would be good is to eat a little something before. I do that just to have that strength. Where when I do it on an empty stomach I seem to burn out. Especially on days I'll be doing my strength training, I'll eat a banana before. My two cents.

I eat 1/2 a banana and then exercise first thing in the morning.

I heard that when you eat it slows down the burn because all the focus of your body is on the stomach for digestion. Not sure if that is right. I would love to know the answer.

Hello All,
I'm wondering if anyone knows about exercise? Would it be more beneficial to exercise before you eat or after. Or wouldn't it matter?
