Welcome to SP - MTNKID1952
You know the old saying "Rome wasn't built in a day" Well the weight we are, didn't just magically appear.
Give your body time to adjust to your new food choices, watch the portion sizes of foods consumed. A small food scale is handy, to use till one gets used to the size of food portions, consumed.

| hopefully, the pounds will begin to shed drastically within the next two weeks as a result of your new and highly disciplined eating habits. Your metabolism may just be going through an adjustment period. But, if nothing happens within the next two weeks, you may want to get back to the drawing board re: the type of carbs, sugar, etc. you are consuming. there may be a need for a small adjustment.

| Believe me I understand the discouragement you are feeling! I have similar feelings at different times of my weight loss life which is since birth I think. Anyway, I just want to encourage you to continue the proper eating, drinking water, but I would like to suggest switching your exercise. I have been told that our bodies get used to the same type of exercise and it is good to switch from time to time. I hope this helps. Kathi

M,
Make sure your calories burned goal and actual calories burned through exercise are pretty close to the same, since that can affect your recommended calorie range.
Sometime it can take up to a month to see the scale start moving. I know it's hard to be patient, but it sounds like you're on the right track!
Hang in there!

I've been within my calories/carbs/fat/protein (and according to my exercise log I'm WAY over for the amount of calories burned) for almost two weeks now and the scale hasn't budged and my clothes aren't any looser! I cannot figure this out. I've even kept my promise to eat two fruits a day and drink 8+ cups of water! Ugh!
