I've got hope-First day on program

Just starting today. I went from 250lbs to 160 a few years ago, but have been stuck at 160. I joined to make a final effort to get down to about 145, which I think is ideal for me. I hope to do it in three months. Wish me luck, and good luck to my fellow travelers!

Been a week now since started program.
Lost five pounds-only did exercise once because sick with flu-going to get back at it when regain strength.
Mastered eating program-recording it is the answer for me.
Live in Kingston, Ontario Canada so we know what snow is too.
I'm not an outdoor person but have treadmill.
Have not been perfect in program but it is working for me.

DOING ALL THOSE STEPS SOUNDS LIKE GREAT EXERCISE..
I WENT OUT FOR A 1 1/2 MILE WALK IN THE SNOW TODAY, HAVEN'T SEEN SUN IN 3 WEEKS WHICH IS DEPRESSING...
DOING GOOD ON STICKING TO EATING THE RIGHT FOODS EXCEPT FOR THOSE HANDFULLS OF DRY ROASTED PEANUTS AT NIGHT, ANYBODY GOT A SUGGESTION TO REPLACE IT WITH SOMETHING ELSE???/

Hahaha you sound like me... please email me when ever you like IM also on yahoo messenger...theyaya2... thats a great way to keep tract of one another.. yes seeing what passes thru these lips is scary.. IM a self beater too am doing that today IM so sore from yesterday.. but if you count the number of times I go up an down stairs.. filling wood stove.. plus am doing laundry today I have done the trip about 30 times so far.. I have several flights of stairs in my home.. so these is not a fib... you think that alone could do it (I wish).. I do however have great legs?? thinking maybe I could crawl up an down on big belly?? *G*

I think that sounds great. Keeping track of food ate was an eye opener and big learning tool.
Did exercise first day but came down with flu so missed yesterday-have to learn not to beat myself up because unable to do it -Always would get discouraged and quit.-not this time-due to health problems will have bad days-so do what I can and when feel better do it.
Think I will weight in every Sunday night because the weekend is the hardest time for eating and maybe knowing weigh in is coming that will help.
Suggest really spend a lot of time getting to know your way around internet site-I'm finding it has so much to offer.
Daughter has lost 50 pounds through L.A weight-cost her a arm and leg-but she said pay attention to labels-example went to buy cheese slices-skim or low fat-Shocked to see skim was higher in calories.
Lets trade tips we find and it should help both us.

taking one day at a time is helpful an writing everything that passes yourm lips truly is an eyeopener.. yikes.. one day Im way under the next IM almost over the top. Im already ready to throw the scale away.. Im sore from moving around on the floor, an almost stroke out doing the biggest loser activity cd phew am I out of shape. good luck to us all

Hi Lorna... that was a great victory for you! I'm going to start my walking routine when I'm down 20 lbs. On my first day I went well over my calories. I think it's all about baby steps and making gradual changes that you can stick with. I'm a week in (weighing tomorrow) and looking at my progress chart makes me see how my eating has improved. Here's to us!

I did all that I said I would to-day. But I have to tell you it took me all day to finally go on the treadmill. You swore I was going to the dentist but when done I was really proud and it wasn't as bad as I thought. That is when I give myself my pep talk that I need that I can do this.
Biggest eye opener was to see the calories that I ate today. I barely stayed under the amount aloud. But it is really going to help me succeed.
Maybe it is possible to reach my goal of 55 pounds and regain my health.
