i had the same concerns about the overwhelming variety of foods suggested by the meal planner. I hadn't though of just using the same manu for several days in a week. I really really like having a plain, monotonous diet, for shopping purposes and just to save time and energy. thanks for bringing it up, and let me know some of the recipes you use. do you make things up ahead of time?

Hi Marylou - welcome to SparkPeople!

Many of the nutrition questions asked on the site are fairly basic. Many of our staff members have studied the materials provided by our expert dietician and studied with her, so we handle those - we've also helped thousands of people on the site. Questions we aren't sure about, we refer to the dietician. We also have many members very knowledgeable about different topics.

Good luck reaching your goals!

With eating the same thing three days in a row, we find that works for some people. Just make sure not to get burned out, where you might want to splurge on a day on something bad to get variety.

I meant to say "Becky," not "Ellen!"

Pardon the error!

And now, half an hour later, I'm going to ask to be pardoned yet again because I have found that the nutrition-related question I asked -- about Metamucil -- was asked AND answered by posters, not moderators. My confusion arose when one answer included a "resident expert" title, so I thought he was a moderator. Sorry ...

I don't know when to stop!

I would still like to have an answer to my question about repeating menus. Thanks!

I'm new and becoming familiar with people and "things" here, so bear with me!

Why is a motivator answering questions about nutrition -- instead of the nutritionist? Or could it be that I have only read the last few day's of entries -- answered by Chris, not Ellen?

And my question for the nutritionist: Is it okay to repeat a day's menu, say for three days? Shopping and cooking for only one person presents a mini-dilemma if a different menu is required for each day.

Thanks for answers!
