Yeah I just tried quinoa about 1 month ago and I really enjoy it. Wasn't quite sure whether I was going to like it or nor, as I am a picky eater. But I was quite surprised.

Hi,

I often use quinoa instead of rice. It has a nice nutty flavour to it. Quinoa is also the only grain that has complete protein.

Thank you very much. Didn't think that anyone was going to reply to me. I appreciate it.

Sounds like a good substitution! I substitute brown rice pretty often and use the same cooking time, comes out fine.

I was just looking at the ingredients for the Parmesan Rice and Pasta Pilaf and I sa that it called for white rice? Could I substitute long grain brown rice for the white? The brown is just healthier and tastier. Also if possible would the cooking times still be the same or would they change? Cause I know that brown takes a bit longer to cook than white. A response as soon as possible would be great as I would like to try this recipe for dinner this evening. Thank you in advance.
