Never could understand why anyone would diet, I just never got the idea or reason for it, still don't for that matter.
Healthy eating and what not I do understand anything to me just doesn't make sense.
All I have ever followed is the Canadian Food Guide, modified though the Canadian Diabetic Association ... I can't say that its not worked since well the weight is off and still coming off (that and since I really started following it to the letter, I've not put on weight).
