Very true, there are so many gimicks out there, but nothing will last if you don't make lifestyle changes. I just got the Spark book in the mail today...think I will go take a look at it before bed!!

It will be easy to lose the weight!

I used Spark to lose almost 20 pounds last year. I have another 40 to lose but have been much more successful with a realistic steady approach than I ever was with the quick fix ones before.

I agree, I too have lost alot quick. Then gained it all back quickly! Slow and steady is much better, then you really realize how much work it really is, more likely to keep it off longer!

I was about to post some encouragement here when I saw that Kara posted the original post in August.

I hope everything is going well for everyone. I would love to lose 5 pounds in 7 days, but that kind of weight loss is not usually sustainable. I have lost 11 pounds in a week when I am first starting out on a new plan, but 1-2 pounds a week is a more realistic and healthy goal. I don't claim to be a medical professional, but I have read and witnessed this so many times.

I think we all need encouragment, I know I do and would love to hear from you all on your progress!!

Since Tuesday I have been doing a medical weight loss plan. No doubt, it's hard. But if I can do this, you can do yours. Keep telling yourself, one day at a time. And drink water. It does fill you up. Success to you.
