I have had trouble sleeping for a long time. I was also having a hard time with thinking and remembering little words. I also was in a fog so to speak. I talked to my Dr. I was afraid that it was the being stages of memory loss. He recommended melatonin 5 or 10 ml. per night. I started taking it and it works in two ways for me. It helps with my sleep, and also helped with the fog that was in my brain. Melatonin is something that your body makes if you sleep. So no sleep no melatonin. It worked for me, it's just a suggestion I'm not a dr. I just wanted to share. This is a website to inform anyone on melatonin.
Not a fan of prescription sleep meds. However, there are some OTC sleep meds that are mild and effective. Tylenol's Simply Sleep (not to be confused with Tylenol PM) is great because each pill is 25 mg, so you can better control how much or little you need. Unlike Tylenol PM, it has no pain medication which is good because your body can adjust to high levels of pain reliever and be less effective when you actually need it.
I was prescribed medical cannabis for migraines, and it has the added effect of helping me get awesome, restful sleep. Has anyone else used it for that effect? Keep in mind in my state it is legal and it was prescribed to me for a qualifying condition.
Each day I am grateful for nights that turned into mornings, friends that turned into family, dreams that turned into reality and likes that turned into love.
