well i have never had 8 hrs sleep since i got out of school. the most i get and that not very often is 7 hours. most of the time i only get anywhere from 4 to 5 hours a night.i try to get innto bed b4 2 am but havent done it yet.i guess its because i used to have to take care of my husband and i had to make sure i could hear him if he called for me so i sleep so light i hear ever sound and if there is a sound that i dont hear when i go to sleep i wake up and it hard for me to go back to sleep . and then when i do i only sleep for about a hour emoticon emoticon emoticon

i have been trying my best to do what I'm supposed to do to lose the weight and have a nicer body.

When you are comfortable getting around Sparks and how to use it, you may want to joint the Sleep Challenge Team. A number of people told me they had success with it..

Hi! When I can't sleep I use melatonin and it helps me. I read last week about drinking tart cherry juice an hour before bedtime. It has lots of natural melatonin in it. Good luck.

Welcome to the "I need sleep" team! I can give you lots of advice but can't claim any of it is working for me cause it isn't!

Are you having trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep? Do you have Busy Brain Syndrome (I made that up!)? Journaling is a good solution to BBS, helps you get your thoughts organized and settled before sleep.

Use the search box at the top of the page or roll your mouse over HEALTH CONDITIONS to find the SparkPeople library. You will find a lot of information on sleep hygiene and suggestions for getting to sleep there.

Be sure to consult your doctor about any herbal remedies you try to be sure that they do not interfer with other meds you may be on. Chamomile tea is a good muscle relaxer that many people use safely to help them get to sleep, however people with allergies to daisies should not use it as it is in the daisy family. So it is best to talk to your doctor before trying.

Need advise on getting at least 8 hours of sleep. I don't want to take pills but is willing to use some herbal products, any suggestions?
