You're welcome. Like all herbal supplements, I don't expect it will work for everyone but then...I didn't expect it to work for me either.

I'm also finding that it helps it to work better if I don't give in to naps and stay awake all day. That way, when bed time rolls around I'm ready to go and sleep like a rock.

Wow that is great that you found an over-the-counter med that works for sleep. I may just have to check it out too.

Initially I was prescribed Ambien. It quit working when they re-worked the formula which turned it into Ambien XR. Next, we tried Lunesta. Lunesta works for me and works well, but we couldn't afford it. The insurance wouldn't cover it and, unlike my Celebrex, it couldn't be gotten in Canada.

Valerian worked for a while but I had to keep upping the dosage and ended up exuding an unpleasant odor of dirty socks when I sweated (and you sweat a lot in Florida!) Melatonin didn't do anything.

Then we found the Alteril. It's a natural supplement you can buy at Wal-Mart and has valerian, melatonin, and l-tryptophan in it. This stuff WORKS. No side effects, no signs of wearing off. At last I'm able to get a decent night's sleep most nights.

When I told my doctor about it at my check-up he recommended it himself and said that his brother uses it.

I'm just happy to have found something that works. I thought I was doomed to wake up every hour on the hour and then have to take three hour naps every day.
