I was on Ambien but it took sometimes 2 hours to start working. I am now on Lunesta and sleep real well. I have to make sure I have 8 hours to sleep or I am groggy.

Hi all ! I'm new to spark people and snooping around here. This topic caught my attention.. I have been a very restless person at night for years now. Lunesta works best for me as well. Yes it is pricey,, even with paying just the co pay. But I'm glad my insurance covers the majority of the price. Lack of sleep is horrible.. not only making for a long night but not feeling so great the next day.

It made my mouth taste like pennies when I took it. It conked me out, but in a really groggy, unpleasant way, and made me hallucinate. I currently take Rozerem.

Hello,
I am Brenda and I did not like Lunesta; It was very expensive and It put me right to sleep but I only sleep until 4 am just like all the others. I suffer from fibromyalgia so I do not know if there is anything that will give me a complete 8 hours of sleep. except maybe a hammer and I have not found any one who will try that on me. I had the Dr put me back on ambiam. at least it does the same and does not cost as much. I know I need help along with many of you just wanted to drop in here to say hello.
Brenda

My doctor has prescribed it for me and I believe I have taken a total of 2 from my first bottle. Besides the fact that it is over $150 per bottle, it really knocks me out and I feel terrible the next morning if I don't get atleast 10 to 12 hours of sleep on it. Let's face it we all wish we could sleep that long, but who really has the time to do it?

I tried it did not like it left a bad after-taste in my mouth and was really groggy all of the next morning. Hope it works better for someone else.

Tried Lunesta, I was able to go back to sleep much easier from tossing and turning. However it did give me diarrhea. Unfortunate.

HAVEN'T TRIED IT.

I take it too and it seems to work for me.
It does not cause grogginess the next morning either.
I hope it works for you.

Wishing you the best towards a good nights sleep.

I am currently on it and have been for several years now. it is the only medication i found that got me to sleep, kept me asleep, and i wasn't drowsy the next day. It does take longer to take effect for me. they say in about 20 minutes but takes at least an hr for me, so i just take it earlier.
also does leave a metallic taste in your mouth. but i prefer that over not sleeping, and it does seem to go away after using it for awhile.

I used it once for about 10 days. I did sleep better for several of those nights; however, after 5 days or so, I noticed a change in my personality. Normally, I do not anger easily, but I went from calm to raging in a matter of seconds when someone cut me off in traffic. Not every one has that side effect, but it is something to watch for. Best of luck and sweet dreams!
