I can't believe February is over - this was a really short month! I did most of the challenges except:
#4 - didn't make the soup, ran out of weekends!
#6 - weight training - just don't do that, I have a bad rotator cuff and don't need to aggravate it further.
#7 - already taking an aerobics class twice a week
#9 - I have a very dear friend (she's 78) whom I spent Valentine's day with (so I think that counts).

Ready now for the March challenges!!

I added sugar to my list as I still have to keep the pumpkin jar full of candy for hubby and i was terrible after Amber was gone, just fed myself anything and everything to try and feel better (dumb) and then my mother passing and all the emotions and stress that go with it are still kind of hanging around. I want to learn to relax and enjoy life again--not sure i have for many years with hubby's drinking. Anyway, I am going to be in here trying. Take care everyone, 23 below here tonite but better than ice and more snow--ugh! Everyone is so tired of this winter. Keep warm, Georfgine

Great challenge. Count me in.

FYI- For the nursing home one, if anyone knits, crochets or sews and has extra yarn or fabric, people in the homes tend to be cold all the time. Just a lap blanket that they can throw over their legs or around their shoulders as they sit for long hours is a wonderful thing to make and give.

PICK AS MANY AS YOU LIKE BUT AT LEAST ONE PER CATEGORY

1. No added salt
2. Eat whole grain pasta
3. Eat whole wheat bread.
4. Make a vegetarian soup.

5. 60 minutes walking per week.
6. weight train 3x per week
7. sign up for a class (yoga, zumba, belly dancing etc.)
8. walk pet 1 mile per week. (doesn't have to be yours)

9. Make or buy Valentines and give them out at a nursing home.
10 Check on a neighbor in the cold.
11. Avoid products that test on animals.
12. Volunteer an hour per week at a shelter.
