A bit late to the party, but still dancing. Down 1/2 lb this week. As I get closer to my goal weight the pounds are really fighting to stay put. But now it's official. I have lost 10 lbs since this weight loss challenge began. Yay for me!

At last! Things are starting to move in the right direction again. Back to discipline with workouts and eating. Even managed to behave myself at a cocktail party last night at which they served VERY decadent food, had a scotch-tasting bar and all. I ate carefully all day, had a tiny meal before I left home, and stuck to bubbly water and small nibbles only. No wine, no scotch, no desserts. Yay for me!

Jennifer, your progress is amazing! Congratulations!

As for me, I'm paying the price for last week's cake festival. I couldn't bear to look on Friday, but I did weigh in over the weekend. Despite a week full of super-killer workouts, my weight hasn't budged. A reminder that poor eating can really wipe out all the hard work from working out. Sigh...Back on track now. Hoping for a better weigh-in this Friday.

Jennifer, congratulations. Continuing to lose weight even after your bootcamp challenge is an accomplishment. It's easy to slack off after a big success, but you're still at it. WTG!

I have had a very rough week, diet-wise. Lost 3, gained 6 then lost 3 again--all in the span of 7 days. Strange what not eating, and then eating way too many desserts can do to the scale numbers. Back to healthier habits starting 0 minus now.

I'm a day late with my weigh in this week. I was out of town on business all week, and didn't have access to a scale yesterday morning. This morning, I was down 4.6 lbs from last week. That's 25 lbs since I started the boot camp program 5 weeks ago.

I'm with you trinity- I've went off the deep end sense memorial day. BBQ's, beer gardens, nachos, fish fry's and the like. Have been to busy to track my food and I've back slid this week. This late posting is for last Friday and was lucky to lose the pound. Tomorrow will be disappointing I think, but I just got back from running. Time to reboot!

A little late to the party again. Life is getting in the way, and I' haven't been around as much as usual.

Congratulations Jen, on your weight loss AND winning the contest. What a great accomplishment.

Thanks everyone. The contest was officially for 20 days, but our initial weigh in and introduction to the program was actually 4 days earlier than that. And they encouraged us to start right away. So it was really 24 days. I know that's a huge loss for that short a period of time, but it was pretty intense. And the body composition analysis shows that it was virtually all fat.

I didn't weigh in on Friday because I was waiting for the official final weigh in for my boot camp contest on Sunday. I'm down another 2 lbs, for a total of 18.2 lbs over the course of the contest. It was such a great boost to get me going again. I feel so much better now that I am back on track.

There seems to be a trend.
Every week that I lose a few pounds is followed by a push week. If the trend continues, I will lose a few more this week.
Again though, every week without weight gain is a victory in the long run!

VERY LATE posting, after a weekend of extreme debauchery. Too much food, too much wine, too much dancing (can there ever be too much dancing?)

Anyway, I managed to step on the scale at one point this weekend and I'm holding steady. No loss, but no gain either (Yay for me, considering).

Gosh, I managed to GAIN a half pound, which puts me at -0.5 lbs since we started. I suppose I should be glad it's moving down, right? Can't say I am not disappointed though.

I'm late posting because I was gone backpacking all weekend but I did weigh in on Friday. Another push. I'm doing good this week though. I usually gain weight while backpacking even after walking 22 miles because I bring more high energy and reward foods (sweets). But I think I came out of the weekend without gaining any additional weight. This is gonna be a good week for me so watch out come Friday.

OK. I haven't been keeping up with my postings. But, this boot camp challenge I'm in is really helping. We don't have our official weigh in until tomorrow. But, as of yesterday morning on my scale at home, I am unofficially down 10.2 lbs.

I'm very pleased with my self-restraint this week. I'm hosting a dinner party tonight, and spent all last night baking. Despite making a chocolate fudge cake, a batch of butter-cream icing, a cheesecake and a trifle, I did not sample once. Not even a single icing flower did I eat. And the rest of the menu is ultra-light, leaving a bit of wiggle room to indulge in desserts.

CRAP! I'm up 4.5 lbs since we started.


BUT! here's my delema: I am back to lifting heavy again, when my weight drops my body can't hold up to the punishment of heavier weights. I like being thick but NOT fat. I have a "V"ish look to my body but not like the way it was 2 years ago but that said my chest and shoulders are seriously bigger, broader and thicker over all.

Thin and muscle definition or thicker and bigger sized muscles,.........what to do, what to do!? LOL! Good problem to have, imo.

USING SP TO HELP YOU KEEP TRACK OF WEIGHT LOSs, CALORIE INTAKE AND EXERCISE "IS" THE SHORTCUT!!!!!!
