Initial Goals:
1. Get back into my previous weight loss jeans.

2. Meet my fiber requirements 5 days a week.

Now that I am finally exercising for the first time in 23 years I have decided to set these weekly exercise goals.

1. Walk or go to the gym 3 - 4 days a week.
2. Strength training 2 - 3 times a week

Took a couple movies back to redbox. Walked instead of driving. It was about 14 blocks round trip.

felt a little stiff and sore with weights....backed off lbs a little and kept going. Walk was great and taiji form felt pretty good although I didn't go as low on some of the stances.

After many many months of doing nothing... I finally got my treadmill moved back into the house, and did 35 minutes yesterday. It felt great!!

45min elliptical. warm enough to run @ the lake but the rain was coming down. nice strong random elliptical workout @ level 12.

Did 2 miles on the treadmill. I felt kinda sluggish was supposed to Walk / Jog but could not dig down deep enough I was just too tired so, I just walked. Other than that better a sluggish walk than no exercise at all.

Not too shabby, got out of the house by 6:30, temp only 75 degrees. Changed my walk route for a little variety, ended up being a little shorter (50 mins instead of 60 mins). Last night, I also took a different route, and ended up following/chasing a javelina for about a 1/4 mile. We were in a ravine and he really didn't have any escape route.

Tabata interval great, weight lifting not so good. Felt a pop in my left arm/shoulder. May be rotator cuff or scar tissue breaking away from previous damage. Gonna let it rest, but not going to quit!

Super-killer-hard, but good. I am doing another boot camp cycle, and did NOT end the workout lying on the floor gasping. I was able to run (not stagger) up the stairs afterward. Yay for me.

Got my butt out of bed and went for a run this morning. First time in two weeks. It felt great. And I know my pace was up too!!

Heading to boot camp tonight. I'm going to see if I can bring a guest. My son really wants to try it. He keeps teasing me, saying "How tough can it really be?" I want to show him it's a lot tougher than he thinks. LOL

Yay! Last day of a 6-week Ab shred this week. I'm FINALLY finished! Whew!

It was tough going, but I can see the results. Interestingly, the changes are more visible in my arms, shoulders and legs than my abs, although there is improvement in that area as well. Still, I feel like my overall strength and fitness have improved even if I'm not *quite* bikini-ready yet.

On to the next challenge. I need to find a new workout.

I went to boot camp first thing this morning. (Someone had one of the boot camp t-shirts on, with a great slogan on the back - "Their workout is our warm-up". It is so true. It's so much better than any class I've ever been to before.)

I'll do some kind of cario tonight. I just haven't decided what yet.

Ouch! I did a double-workout yesterday (boot camp in the morning, followed immediately by a power-mall-walk with the Monster Tots in their twin stroller), so I was very very sore this morning.

And I'm at Week-5-Day-2 of a 6-Week Ab Shred, so I'm into the really hard stuff. When I see the fitness models in the workout DVD doubled over gasping for breath, I don't feel so bad about lying on the floor whimpering.

I started running again about a week and a half ago. Today was the first day that it actually started to feel good again. emoticon Now hopefully boot camp feels just as good tonight.

Today's workout was a little brutal..It is week 2 of the Spring challenge and I am supposed to start two videos a day on top of my 30 minutes of cardio and my 1 minute of strength training routine that I found on Pinterest. What I am finding though is that is SUPER tough to get up and get motivated this week then it was last week. I'm tired in the morning and by the time I actually roll out of bed, I am rushing through my workout and late for work.
I want it all to sink back in and I am not sure what I can do to make that happen. But here is to another 5 days of good workouts

Today I start my 2-a-days...What helps is that I joined the SparkPeople Spring Challenge which makes sure that I can accurately do my 2-a-days.. But my program is going to get more intense as the Spark People Spring Challenge is over. A friend wants to do Insanity with me, so that means I have to get more on my a-game for it.

Anyways, today's workout wasn't too bad.. I did 10 minutes of ab workout. I have left to run 30 minutes and do 30 minutes of arms.. Those I will do after I get off work this evening. Wish me luck!

It was hard, but not brutal today.
Just completed week 2 of a six-week ab shred. The workout still kicks my butt, just not as hard.

I figure if the fitness models in the DVD are breathing hard and sweating, then I'm not doing too badly to be gasping for breath.

Onward!

i tried something different for my cardio today. one of the guys at work yesterday who's big into working out was talking to another guy that's just getting into working out and told him to get on the treadmill, set the incline to 3% and then the speed to 3.5. i decided to try that today. i liked it, but i think i'll use a steeper incline in the future...it wasn't challenging at all at 3%

Brutal. It. Was. Brutal.
Day 5 of an Ab Shred, and was still sore from the previous 4 days. I am grateful I have a rest day coming up tomorrow. I will substitute a nice gentle Pilates workout for the brutal-killer-ab-thingy.

I really enjoyed my workout today. It's a lovely spring day, I'm working at home and had a quick errand to run at the local shops. They're about a mile from my house, so instead of driving I walked there and back. Got some sunshine and some exercise.

It was great. I REALLY didn't want to get out of bed this morning, but I made myself do it.

I did a back-to-basics workout:
crunches, planks, sit-ups, pushups, lunges and deep stretches afterward. Just like back in gym class in primary school.

I feel all loose and energetic now. Time to get the Monster Tots going for the day.

Great today! I had my class (martial arts) and we were heavy on the throws today.....love it!

It was fabulous. I did a Jillian Michaels 40-min ab shred. Hurt like blazes and I nearly collapsed about 30 minutes in, but I've felt wonderful all day.

Fab! I tried a Jillian Michaels workout DVD for the first time, and it was great. Ab work was helped along by my twins climbing all over me. Doing crunches with a 30 lb 2-yr-old lying across your midsection makes them very very hard.

Yesterday -- Turbo Jam 20 minutes, morning and evening (I was supposed to walk and do circuit training in the evening, but between an unscheduled stop and rough traffic I got home after 7, too late to hit Curves.) emoticon

Today -- rest day. Coach is suggesting two days off a week. Fingers crossed!

Did treadmill for 45 minutes, most of that time at 3.5 mph and 1.5 incline. Then I tried an ab machine, 1 set of 25 reps, about 50 pounds.
