Eddy, Hopefully, you will find someone here to run with, but I highly recommend finding a canine buddy if you don't. You can check out dogs at the shelter to exercise. You might also have a neighbor that would love to have you run and drain the energy off a high energy dog if you don't have one of your own. I am old and from NW corner of Oregon, so I won't do you much good. I just liked your post and wanted to respond.
Hi guys, I'm Eddy. I'm looking for someone to run with in Albany. I'm just getting back into running after a long time away due to injury and lack of time. I still don't have much time, but I'm looking for someone in Albany who wants to go for 1-2 runs a week with me in-town. I'm only at 2 miles right now, so I'm really a "beginner". Also, I don't run fast (right now about 12-minute miles and aiming to get under 10 in the next few months). Oh, and I have about 60 pounds to lose. SO...if you are a walker who wants to start running, a jogger who wants a buddy, or just wanting to run but maybe feel self-conscious (I know I do!) and want a buddy for support, please let me know! Have a great day!
