I can't think of a favorite vegetable, love most of them: brussel sprouts, spinach, mushrooms, peppers, cauliflower, broccoli I guess the most. Usually steam them and season, sometimes a stir fry and add chicken or shrimp. Right now though, fresh cherry tomatoes straight out of the garden! Brought some to work and someone asked if I added sugar to them.

I love most veggies! When I was 10, someone behind my little brother and I said to my Mom, 'Don't your kids know they're not supposed to like broccoli?'

When I was 7 1/2, my parents moved us to Anchorage, where fresh produce was the most expensive grocery category. We also grew up having fresh veggies out of the garden. So of course we loved veggies.

Here's a few of my veg preferences:

broccoli - steamed
cauliflower - cooked and mashed
pod peas - raw
snow peas - raw or steamed, but if I buy them raw I munch on them all the way home
tomatoes - raw or broiled or dried, but I won't eat anemic tomatoes, that's sacrilege, they're not real food
zucchini & crookneck squash - steamed
asparagus - steamed or raw
mushrooms - cooked or raw

I really like most veggies also but I would have to say fresh spring asparagus or a fresh picked tomatoe still warm from the sun are the best.

I love most veggies raw, except for onions which I like cooked. I have them in salad, stir fry, quiche, omelets, wraps, and am always trying new recipes. I detest store bought tomatoes, so mostly eat those fresh during the summer. Yum!

I dislike most veggies, but do like steamed broccoli, corn on the cob, and green bean casserole...(mine just has mushroom soup ..no water.. beans, and bacon bits.)

The rest I FORCE myself to eat. Never have liked them...

I love steamed broccoli, I eat that for most days of the week. I also like raw salads with lettuce, spinach, carrots, radishes, sweet onions, and more broccoli!

So good! I prefer my cooked veggies plain, no other spices or flavors. But as for raw, they taste best with a light ranch.

Year round I love steamed broccoli (plain) and raw snow peas with hummus. In the summer the corn and tomatoes!

Yes, the fresh veggies and fruits in Oregon in the summer is what most of us wait all year for! I don't have a garden, but there are a couple of local farms nearby that sell produce. And as you say, nothing better than a fresh tomato pulled right off the vine!! A real summer treat.
G'night everyone. Bettyor

Veggies are best if grazed straight from the garden. Nothing better than tender green peas picked fresh off the vine, or tiny cherry tomatoes. Brush the bugs off and pop them in your mouth. In the winter I like cooked broccoli or baby carrots out of the bag. My sis makes a yummy eggplant dish.

Like the old joke I seem to be on a see food diet, That is if I see food I eat it. There are few vegies that I do not like. Maybe mustard greens. My favorites are beet tops and spinach. Both very good for you fortunately. I like salads, but the oily salad dressings and cheese that make them real yummy are fattening.

Bell peppers (quartered into little "boats" filled with tuna salad, egg salad, salmon salad - or lots of things, use your imagination. Cauliflower (raw) cucumbers, zucchini (raw or cooked) onion (especially WallaWalla Sweet), tomatoes (or is that a fruit?) green beans, salad greens of all kinds. fresh corn. Lets say, almost all veggies except artichokes and I'm not too crazy about broccoli, but will eat it in a pinch. I seldom eat potatoes, of course that doesn't count french fries which I shouldn't - but that's another chapter!!

What are your favorite Veggies and how do you fix them?

Cauliflower, Zucchini and Potatoes which I steam or bake in the microwave. Tossed salads with a serving of low fat or fat free Blue Cheese, or Ranch dressing. Fresh Green Beans when in season on the stove slow cooked with some bacon or ham for flavoring.

Water is very important for us. We may, and I do, require more than the 8 glasses a day. The link goes to a water calculator I use to see what I need for my current weight. Mt requirement has dropped 9 ounces due to weight loss. Yipee!
