I know exactly what you are saying. I was so embarrassed all I wanted to do was jump up like nothing happened. My friends and my husband reached down to help me up and a lady walking by picked up my hat and put it back on my head. Thank you for the replies I am getting better.
Linda, take it from some one who has takes dozens and dozens of falls. We first look around hoping no one saw us, then we try and get to our feet as quickly as possible. When you do it in your yard, you can pretend you are just sitting there maybe weeding, unless there is snow or it's raining. LOL
Sorry about the sprained ankle...sometimes sprains can hurt worse than a break...now you can be a lady of leisure and sit with your feet elevated. With the weather we are having...it's a good time to stay down and in.

It's foolish to ask God to direct your steps, if you aren't willing to move your feet.

We went to a concert in salem yesterday. we went to eat at the McGraths downtown as I was stepping off the step going toward Mcgrath's I fell and sprained my ankle. We didn't go to the hospital until this morning. I asked for ice in the restaurant and carried it with me to the Elsinore Theatre. I'm so glad I insisted on going to the concert. Anyway it took us 2 and 1/2 hours to get home because of the storm. My friend Sara laughed and said this is a memory maker. This morning my husband took me to the doctor and I had xrays. I was so glad nothing is broken but I am walking on crutches! The actual pain in my right foot was so bad at 3am this morning. I will have to be off my feet for about a week. How embarrassing I can just laugh and thank God it wasn't any worse lol
