This was a really cool race today. Too bad there wasn't that big of a turn out for it. Hopefully next year it will grow. There were some awesome costumes and some inspiring stories. Both channels 9 and 5 were there covering the event so again hopefully the word gets out and this will become a huge event here in Cincinnati!

I'm just planning on wearing leggings with the boxers they give us over them and haven't thought about the top. If you are in town for it let me know and we could met up. I'm doing the walk, but I got friends who are going to run. So the more the merrier.
Oh that sounds like a hoot! I'm not sure if I'm in town that weekend but I'll keep the date in mind. At 270+ lbs no one wants to see me in my underwear but I can always wear sweats underneath. I'd just need my fabric glue and a handful of sequins to whip up something colorful.
I cannot make myself be thin today, but I CAN be healthier by making a few smart choices. I focus on what needs to be done today and tomorrow takes care of itself.

This 5K event is going on Sunday, October 24th. I found the info from the racedmc.com website and thought it looked awesome. All the proceed go to colon cancer research which is something that has affected my life greatly. So anyone else interested in walking or running let me know. I'll be doing it in the memory of my father.
