I noticed when I add shrimp or fish to my daily intake it helps alot. Half a can of crab is only 40 calories and 9 grams of protein so if you ate the whole can you are already at 18 grams . I am going to try and add fish on my menu daily..

I always fall short on the protein, any suggestions would be great.

Yes! I am having the same issue as per my tracker. I missed the protein mark on 3 of the 5 days that I tracked last week. I'd love some suggestions from members who are getting the right amount of protein. I found this list online and I am going to try to add an egg or yogurt (already mentioned, thanks!) snack this week.

I for one do not do as well if I'm low on protein. Here are a few ways I get in a little more.

WeightWatchers string cheese
1 oz Cabot 75% reduced fat cheddar
jar of plain beef, chicken, or turkey baby food. Makes excellent low cal "pate"
nuts, measured, counted, or weighed
hard-boiled egg

At first I was needing to supplement with protein drinks (I used the 30 gram per), but now I'm getting more than enough eating Fage 0% Greek yogurt and non fat cottage cheese. I love nuts so with going non fat on yogurt and cottage cheese I can enjoy the good fat in nut produce. I agree protein is so important. This tracking is great for me to see how I need to adjust :-) . Good health everyone. Sincerely, Julia

I too, have the problem of not getting enough protein! I'm always reading labels.
What's the deal with "protein" drinks? Has anyone tried that?

yes not enough protein will hurt your weight loss, been there done that. I'm vegan. I eat beans, nuts, nut butters, quinoa and TVP. Yes nuts and nut butters have fats, but they are the good fats. I try to eat protein at every meal and snack. Protein makes you feel full so eating it slow means you don't eat as much and you feel full longer. I like soy beans, they are one of the lowest in calories then eat one or two at a time.

If I don't get enough protein will it hinder my weight loss.? A few times this week I have not reached my target of 60-136, been under 47 or 50 range. Been exercising and eating well otherwise but not a huge weight loss. Went grocery shopping yesterday and bought more protein items such as cottage cheese , shrimp, fish etc. so will try harder this week to consume proper amount of protein. So was just thinking if it was because of not enough protein.
