Hi, Lin, I keep a close eye on my starches - carbs like bread, pasta, rice, etc. but I'm a lot less concerned with fruits
. I would be more cautious with bananas and some of the tropical fruits
but even one well known weight loss organization has now made fruit a free food. Of course, like anything else, we can overdo fruit so I'd never eat it non-stop all day long
. For me it is a much better and healthier alternative to snacking then other typical "snack foods"
I think eating a lot of fruit could possibly make your weight loss a little slower
but I'm no concerned about losing it fast
. I want to lose it at a pace that will enable me to keep it off for life once I lose it. Maybe I could lose it faster by eating the minimum of everything but I know I won't be able to do that for the rest of my life. This way I eat enough to feel satisfied and if I lose a little slower, well that's okay, because I know I will be able to continue to eat this way over the long term.
Hope this made some kind of sense the way I wrote it
Some things aren't easy to explain but I sure had fun using all these Emoticons
