Maybe I'm supposed to post a new message each day? I'm not really sure. I've just been editing my original post, but if so, here it is...
This group doesn't seem to be very active, but I love the idea of this. It's the most motivating thing I've ever found for getting me in gear, off the couch, out the door, and walking!
Here's my update:
I'm taking my party to the monks at Subiaco, Arkansas. (I wonder how thinner and healthier I'll be by the time I get there?)
207 miles from my home.
4/27/2013: 207 - 2 = 205 miles to go
5/07/2013: 205 - 2 = 203 (I've been out of state for several days, but I'm back now and back to my walking schedule.)
5/09/2013: 203 - 2 = 201
5/11/2013: 201 - 1.6 = 199.4
5/14/2013: 199.4 - 2.4 = 197
5/16/2013: rained out
5/17/2013: 197 - 2.5 = 194.5
5/19/2013: 194.5 - 2.8 = 191.7
5/21/2013: 191.7 - 2.4 = 189.3
5/23/2013: 189.3 - 3.7 = 185.6
I went out to attempt a 5K today and ended up doing 3.7 miles. In a couple of weeks, my plan is to be walking 5 miles daily with intervals of running, 3 times per week. That will begin to add up the mileage toward Subiaco. I really excited about that!
