Yes I've notice some basics such as reducing all starches on the shelves. Potato chips, cookies, breads: then cleaning supplies, air fresheners, .. expanding fresh produce, water/sparkling water, more different types of yogurt,.. I know some products are becoming more obsolete. The solid air fresheners are being exchanged for the newer gel versions and combination oil plug-ins. People want more reduced calorie whole grain breads and cookies. I don"t know about supplements other than when I went to my Health food store to get my vitamins, they had run out of a lot of items.
Changing my life one day at a time from the inside out. Remembering the basics, to set goals, plan, implement, then revise. The journey will be hard and easy but remember to HAVE FUN!!!
I went to my local supplement store, here in the Chicago-Land area; like I do every week. It's a "chain"; it is important to note that it is not just a Ma and Pop store because I feel a chain store would, maybe, know more about what's going on "behind the scenes". My husband and I found something very interesting. Perhaps we're just reading too much into it; you decide.
They bought the space next to them and are expanding to include a ton more grocery items, then previously. They also had sheets of paper at every register to sign your name to keep your rights to buy supplements. (That's new too.) I asked the lady, checking me out, "So what would happen if they make supplements illegal? Would you go under?" She said, "No, they'd just come and take all the supplements off the shelf and I think that is why they're expanding out into more food items." I said, "Do you know that the people in the EU just woke up one day and there were no more supplements?" She said, "Yes, that's right."
A piece of, my brain says the following about a chain *supplement* store "all of a sudden" turning more to selling groceries ... The Fat Cat's, at the top, top, top, *already* know that something is about to go down; so, they're changing the name of the store (from less supplement store sounding to more grocery store sounding) and expanding to where, more than, half the store is groceries, in hopes to *not* go out of business when "they" go in there and clear the supplements off of the shelves.
I don't know if this is an, "I guess you had to be there" story, or what; but, my husband and I feel valid concern after our visit there today and wanted to ask ...
Have you noticed any changes like this happening, in the chain supplement stores you patron, where you live?
