Barbados has the Mount Gay rum tour. I would recommend it to anyone. Our tour in Dominica was too rushed, not a good time for us. I think we will take a private taxi tour next time.

Oh my goodness, we had a ball in Dominica!!! There were eight of us. We were on a Princess cruise, but we booked a River trip and the guide took us up a swampy river, giving us information all the way. When we got to the end, they gave us some native drink, and of course were making the birds out of leaves. Then they took us back. Then we got on the bus and rode back to the cruise ship. It has to be one of my favorite. In Barbados, was that GAY RUM? We did that and it was a hoot. We also went on the submarine another time. It was great, I don't know how to swim and scared of water.

Hi all, Just got back from Carnival Victory. We toured the rum factory in Barbados, took a taxi island tour in Antigua with lunch on the beach, we just did some quick shopping on St. Thomas, St.Lucia and St. Kitts. We took a excursion in Dominica, not worth the money. We were in a cramped bus and everywhere we stopped we were rushed to take our pictures and drive to our next destination. Luckily, we took some water and snacks because there were only overpriced beverages at the stops we made. Don't bother getting off the ship in Dominica unless you like being harassed by vendors and taxi drivers, not worth it.
We didn't miss a thing, going to the hot tubs, mini golfing, down the water slide, watched all the shows and even karaoke. I loved it all. Anyone else cruising soon. Love to hear your stories.

Hi! I'm new to this team and just love cruising. Although I've only been on one cruise so far. My first cruise was given to us last year by my MIL for my husband's 40th birthday. We cruised around the British Isles for 2 weeks.
I want to go again! The next big one we are looking at is going to be another 2 week transatlantic crossing for our 20th anniversary/my 50th birthday. But that's not for another 2 years. Hoping we can find a shorter cruise before that.
Taking a deep breath now.

My last cruise was a cruise to nowhere on Norwegian leaving out of NY. My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary. This was the 2nd year in a row that we did this. We had a great time.
Cruise prior to that was in July 2008 on Carnival; I went with my family {my husband and 4 kids}, my parents and my brother and his wife. This was the first time I went on a cruise with my extended family and the first time that my youngest two children ages 2 & 7 went on a cruise, they had such a good time.
