Shelly-I'm crossing my fingers for you that the scale stays til weigh in. I hate the scale too. Up down, up down. We had a bunch of rain here this week and finally cleared up yesterday and today, so it turned out to be a nice weekend. I finished mudding our basement. Hubby is going to sand it on Tuesday and we should be ready for paint next week. Yeah! I'm so excited that it is coming along.

Hi every one today is a better day for me finally feel better yea!!!!

sorry every one is having a bad week

I thought for sure i have been gaining weight today when I stepped on the scale wow can I say wow again
I'm down 235 from 242 how did that happen hope tomorrow is the same its not kidding me hate when the scale dose that lol

just hate the scale in general

we are on day 12 of strait rain yuck yuck
good news no dragging the sprinkler to water yea bad news no outside walks except quick ones
well good luck tomorrow on the weigh in
I'll get you out all the links for week 2 challenge and first weigh in hope this time I can get them done in one lol

Hello! Sorry Bronteg that you are feeling the way you are. I find my biggest challenge with eating is weekends. But not that I feel that I over eat, my schedule just is out of wack, so I don't think I maximize on all the extra calories I burn. I am soooo much more active on weekends than during the week. I just can't sit still, until I catch up on my computer time.

Teacher, sorry the scale isn't moving for you either. I don't think this week is going to be very good for me either. I have been tracking my eating, so my calories weren't that wacked, but I definitely didn't get as much cardio as I would have liked. I didn't do couch to 5 k at all this week. I am going to go full speed ahead tomorrow though.

I am just checking in. I worked out a lot this week and was sad that I lost......NOTHING!! I bet it is just one of thoes weeks but I did freak when I saw it. I am going back in my food and exercise log just in case. I stayed in my calorie range, I just wonder if there was something that was high in something else.

Hey I'm here, My challenge for every week is my eating patterns. I work nights all week and I'm pretty good while I'm working but on my days off I tend to get all messed up because I eat when I should be sleeping (which is a whole other nightmare of its own) I start each week with the "I'm gonna do this" attitude and then it just all goes down the crapper come Friday! I'm so exhausted all the time I can barely get through a day and I know I need to pull it together but I feel stuck in this routine and I know unless I push through and straighten out the food thing those mean scales are never gonna move more then ten pounds. I have a very pysical job and I'm definetely sweatin it out so I pray that I can turn the eating around and fast. Anybody else feel this way?

Where is all our team members?? How is everyone doing the first week? Any extreme challenges anyone has had?

Probably my most extreme challenge right now is that I am preparing to move in 3 weeks. I am a huge stress and emotional eater. I have been able to manage my work stress and other life stressors but throwing moving into the mix is proving to be difficult. I have to move into a smaller apartment and need to get rid of things in addition to cleaning and packing our stuff.

Yesterday ~ I allowed the stress to take over and ate more than I really needed. I was at the highest end of my calorie range and went WAY over my sodium limits. The sodium is going to have a negative effect on me today, will make me feel sluggish and slightly blouted. So ~ I will have to drink more water than I normally do and drink some tea to help flush my system. And I will add some heavy cardio today to help sweat out the extra salt.

SO ~ what about everyone else? What have been your challenges this past week or next week? How are you going to overcome them?

Hi everyone! I was MIA yesterday. Had a work conference to go to. Didn't think I did too bad with eating. Was a great conference, very informative. Having seen this group since October, so they saw much much lbs I've lost. Everybody was saying that I was looking good and was proud of me, made me feel good. Long car drive today though, so I am a bit tired. Busy day tomorrow. Sunday we are going back up to sister in laws to help her with her new house. Projects, projects everywhere. Hubby got some more done on our basement when I was gone. Looks good. Should be ready for some paint in a couple weeks, would be ready next weekend probably, but we have an out of town graduation to go to, so another busy weekend. Hope everyone had a great Friday. Planning some serious workout tomorrow. Weights and cardio. I have plenty of time blocked out for it while Lydia is at a friend's birthday party. Talk at ya later. Go Goldies!

Happy Friday Everyone!!

Things are going well ~ I am right on track all week with my HP points. I have struggled with exercise yesterday and today ~ due to working late ~ but managed to do it (even though I wasn't enjoying it much end of this week ~ cause I am tired). So ~ I think I need to start getting up early in the mornings and getting my exercise done right away ~ then I can relax at night with my daughter ~ and enjoy meal times.

I hope everyone is doing well!!! It's the weekend!! I am so excited ~ finally a time to relax a little!!

happy Friday every one I am sick dont know how so been dragging all week on the exercise uhg well going to dr today to see whats up my neck hurts and is swollen we will see what they say also have a headache so just not doing well the start of this challenge hope i feel better tomorrow got to get my strength training done daily lol trying to get bigger muscles well every one have a happy Friday and happy journey

Good Evening Everyone ~
Let's see highs so far this week ~ I have been able to keep in my calorie range and exercise consistently. Although today I decided to walk for an hour ~ broke up into 15 minute increments throughout my work day instead of doing boxing, running and using the Wii fit. I feel a little bit lazy since I have been doing some serious cardio but feel like my body really needed to rest and regroup from all the intense cardio. So ~ I am listening to my body. I also knew I was going to get home late tonight ~ when that happens I end up working out for an hour and then eating at 8 or 9 at night. Then I have to relax before I can sleep. That doesn't work out so well for me.

As for tracking ~ I am tracking my exercise on the other message board and then tracking HP in my nutrition notes. I track daily ~ otherwise I would lose paper, forget something, etc.

Good Day Everyone, How is everyone doing today anybody got some highs they want to share? Or lows that they need to share? A high for me today is that I got all my water in and then some and a low is not having enough energy to exercise it was a very stressful night at work and I sweat a load of toxins out lol. I am going to make an honest effort to get in some form of cardio tomorrow, but today I really need sleep I've spent most of my day at a hospital with my father, who's ok by the way, he had a blood clot in his leg and the doctor couldn't even find a pulse in his leg yesterday, but he put him on blood thinners and he had a lot of people praying for him and so yay God, prayer really does work!!! Anyway would love to hear some ups and downs from everyone, we are a team and a team goes threw everything together, the good and the bad. emoticon

ok so this is how it works on the all team challenge
you can edit it on monday and put in your stats dose not have to be daily
on our own team hp points samething we all need to check in Mondays to get our stats in
like today I have to have our team numbers in but missing 10 people lol so posting with out
if i don't have them in by wed each week they don't count and our whole team gets a 0 for the week
so its very important to get in your numbers on time or it effects the whole team
they only give me as captain so much time so I feel like I am nagging all the time lol because I want every one on our team to succeed
just remember that Mondays are the day you should check in for sure then the rest of the week keep track
and have fun post what your doing if you want see what others are doing it really is about having fun and meeting your goals
I made me a notebook for the blc 9 it keeps track of everything daily then on monday I take a few min to log it all it tracks food and cals, water,exercise,my personal thoughts and goals for the day
just my way of keeping track of all the things I need to do so I only have to post once if thats all the time I have
just remember we are not perfect and to do this its a journey its all about
to keep moving forward even if you take a few steps back once in awhile hope this is what you wanted to know sorry its drawn out I ramble

I have a question - are we supposed to post our points every day to the other thread or just at the end of the week?

Also, I have to apologize for not checking in and participating as much as i should up to this point. I am teaching and coaching softball and the last 3 days have been sun up to sun down. We had games right after work on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday was exceptionally bad because I was on a class trip from 6 am - 8:30 pm and then went to the game. Today I will make sure i get all my exercise in, I promise. Sorry to disappoint but there was just not enough hours in the day! Kelly

Hello Fellow Gold Gladiators!!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous day! I recently started running in place (for Wii Cardio ~ which is fabulous!!!). I am finding I am becoming addicted to running ~ I feel so fabulous afterwards ~ not to mention the Bears I get to box in between sprints is a wonderful stress reliever as well ~ LOL!.

Today is a strength day and I am throwing in some cardio (yoga and running) in to the mix as well.

No new recipes to share with anyone ~ but if you haven't tried the "fried chicken" recipe found in Spark People ~ you should. It is delicious and my picky daughter loves it.

I don't know about everyone else but I am loving all the fresh veggies and fruits right now ~ sure makes eating healthy much easier. I love summer produce ~ not so good with how to prepare winter produce.

Okay ~ so if you haven't guessed I am very talkative! LOL!

Hello everyone! I was so exhausted last night, I felt like I melted into my bed when I finally laid down. Don't know what that was all about. I also had a heck of a time getting going this morning. I think I need sun. It has been cloudy and dreary here for 5 days now, don't get me wrong, we needed the rain, but now I want the sun. I know, so demanding. The fish last night didn't go over so well, I wasn't too impressed myself. Tonight is turkey meatloaf and califlower/turnip mash. We'll see how that goes. Hope everybody has a great day!

I had a long work day today. Got home late and was debating not exercising ~ but I didn't want to let our team down so I got up and got moving.

I am so happy to see everyone so excited for this challenge! Together we can make this happen! I tried a new recipe last night from the clean eating magazine, loved it! It was chicken open faced sandwich and it had spinach and a strawberry salsa. Yummy. Tonight-fish n chips.

Welcome everyone here is what I need from you Monday June 8th
start weight and start measurements of your chest,hips,and waist listed as fallows
here is mine to show you how I need them listed

I will be keeping track for our team also i need you to keep track this week of your daily health points this is the following list of how you get those and track them

here is a list of what to track
we will be counting Healthy Points for the whole challenge weekly. Each person needs to keep track of their Healthy Points and can post them on monday :) Here is how you can get up to 40 points each week:

~WATER- Drinking at least 8 glasses (64 oz) of water a day (this ramps up your metabolism, as well as keeps you full)= one point

~CALORIE RANGE- Staying within your calorie range= one point

~HEALTHY FOOD CHOICES- Eating breakfast (it's amazing how many people don't, but it gets your metabolism started for the day, so get to it!) & Getting at least 5 servings of freggies (fruits and veggies) each day= one point

~EXERCISE- that is PLANNED exercise. Strength (doing at least 2 sets of 3 different exercises - remember, so muscles have time to repair, don't do two days in a row of exercise using the same muscles) &/or Cardio (getting at least 30 minutes in a day)= one point

~PARTICIPATION- posting on your team thread & Supporting your fellow team members= one point

~BONUS- participation in ALL TEAM WEEK LONG challenges= 5 points
when you post next weeks totals this is how it should look
