oops I didnt even consider the scale relationship when I posted the challenge sorry about that. I will be honest though and tell u that when I have been successful I have been a scale addict..yes it stinks if it fluctuates but it keeps u in check as well..I cant believe I just said that. :)

I have to find my original post in the thread! I gained over Thanksgiving...but have slowly and steadily gone down. I finally had an AWESOME week down 4 lbs! I just keep chugging along. I have been trying to limit myself to every other day! Hard to do! How is everyone else doing?

I know what you mean about being addicted to the scale because of this challenge. I tend to check every day. Right now I'm so close to my 4th day of Christmas and I keep getting so disappointed every time I'm not there yet. Uggg, 1 pound to go and it's taking for ever.

This challenge has made me addicted to the scale! The unfortunate thing is it goes down and up and down and up....

Still rockin'! Getting my workouts in and watching my calories. I have 2 more pounds until the next day of Christmas!

Really wanted to make it to my 4th day of Christmas this week, but unless a miracle happens in the next 12 hours and I lose 3 pounds (that's right I haven't lost anything since last week....) I am not going to make it. So discouraging, but if I don't make it I'm not going to give up. I'm just going to change things up a bit this next week. There is no stopping me now!

I gained 2.3 lbs after Thanksgiving despite trying really hard. However, I am now down 1 lb. Hoping to be back to 225 for my Wed weigh-in and go down from there. Regardless, it helps to be part of a challenge and being accountable. Don't give up push forward. This is doable!

Just checking in! I've made it to The 2nd Day of Christmas. Although I feel like I made too lofty of goals for each week rather than making each week different, I'm doing it! If I keep on this pace I'll make (and maybe beat the Valentine's Day goal) and that means I'm a month ahead of my overall goal.

If and WHEN that happens it's on to the next 50 lbs!

We had a thanksgiving day celebration today with my family emoticon . I measured everything I ate and wrote it down. I has small portions, but the food was good! I even had a selection of deserts. My whole day came in at less than 1400 calories! emoticon I'm so happy! It took a bit of work, but to me, in the end it is well worth it. I didn't blow the day, and still totally enjoyed it! I know I am still in the game! emoticon emoticon

I think this challenge is about the best motivation that I've ever had! Every day I think about my goal for that "day" and it seems manageable and that's what's keeping me going. I would just LOOOOVVEEEE to complete my 12 days by Valentine's Day!

So far, I've lost 15 pounds and I'm starting on Day 6. Since I've been focusing on calorie only, tomorrow I'm planning on starting a new workout routine - going to the gym in the mornings before work! I think the workouts will help keep the scale moving in the right direction...

I am excited!!! i am down to 282!!! emoticon

Yes, i had my surgery, and yes i am still recovering.. but i lost 5 lbs while still "resting" and "recuperating" from Surgery. I have been eating smaller portions, and been eating more nutritious foods. I am still having cravings for Milk Fat (Ice Cream, Shakes, butter etc.) and Chocolate ... neither surprise me, knowing i need the extra caloric intake after surgery to heal and the Zinc in Chocolate is also being craved to help reduce my cold and such... :) I am excited i have 3 days down.. and 9 more to go :) emoticon

Agreed! Looks like everyone is on the track to a happier and healthier Valentine's Day! :) Congrats to everyone for sticking with this challenge - regardless of whether you gain, lose or maintain each week. I think we sometimes beat ourselves up for gaining and forget to give ourselves a pat on the back for getting back up and trying to make this day, this meal, or even this choice better.

It sounds like everyone is on the right track! I am avoiding the scale this week....I don't think it would be pretty. My Spark b-day present to myself. I am back on track, and my PT cleared me to do elliptical and bench press. Very happy to have something to add back in! Let's keep up the good work!

I am taking the long road to day 1. I ended up gaining 10lbs due to a medical condition in the last 6 days but am down 4 this morning. Hoping the last 6 come off easily this week and take my first day with it. emoticon

Hello Friends!

So far so good, I'm losing at an average of 2.5-3 lbs per week, which is awesome! It also makes me wish I had given myself a 2-3 lb a week weightloss! I'd be golden in 12 weeks....BUT, I'm glad I did a 4 lb per "day" goal because it makes me try that much harder!

Way to go y'all!! My official weigh in is on Monday. I set my biggest weeks in the beginning, but I'm hoping to finishing or being really close to week one on Monday. In addition to my regular exercising I am challenging myself to go up and down our stairs 15x each day.

emoticon on sticking to you plan this week! We all have hard weeks, and weeks where we have no losses. I am learning to dance emoticon when I have a great week and ride on the motivation...but also to not let my bad (where I've gained or not lost weeks) not get me down. I actually conisder a no-gain weeks really important too. That's better than the alternative! We do this day by day, stride by stride. Here's cheering to a GREAT Sunday for you! emoticon

Counting down the days until weigh day (Sunday). Last week my weight remained the same....... I think it was because of that awful sneaky halloween candy. I have been doing the SP 28 day official workout this week and I have also been getting more cardio and trying to stay Within my calorie range...... so for now, I am anxious to see what the scale says on Sunday.

Wow, you are making GREAT progress. I made a long term goal...but need to think about my weekly (shorter term) goals are. My goal is 20 lbs by the end of the year...but I know I have high/low weeks usually...need to think about it more.

I am doing really well, actually. I don't know if my starting weight reflected stress, or water retention or what, but I am thrilled to report that 5 days into this challenge I am through my 1st 3 "days" goals! I actually measured today (which I do every Wednesday) and I have shed 53.5 inches on the current program I am doing. All of the sudden I am looking forward to eating healthy, hitting the gym (or pool) and stepping on to the scale each morning! Thank you so much for posting this challenge! I find it so easy to strive for smaller goals at a time, and the weight seems to be melting off quicker than I ever thought possible. I know it won't be like this forever, but I am embracing it while it is. :)
