Oh this is fun! One of the things I've been adding this week is a cereal that is high in pumpkin and flax for a nice dose of Omegas. I also take Omega pills, but like knowing that just by changing/adding a cereal that I'm giving my body another boost.
I was thinking today how we often know what we need to do to get healthier, but so often we think they have to be big gestures. Whereas, in order to be healthy, it can be something as simple as just adding a new cereal to my diet.
I'm up for a new habit! :o)

I can't get the article to come up. It says webpage not found.
“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.” -Kenneth Blanchard
“Being defeated is often temporary, giving up makes it permanent.” -Marilyn von Savant
I'm resurrecting the old Healthy Habit posts. For those of you who aren't familiar with these, SparkPeople publishes a calendar each month with a new healthy habit for each day. February's is 29 days to a healthy heart. The article can be found here: www.sparkpeople.com/resource/motiva tio n_articles.asp?id=760
For Wednesday, 2-27:
Go fish. Fish like salmon, tuna, and halibut are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, which promote heart health. Six to eight ounces of baked or broiled fish each week will do your body good!
OK, little editorial comment here: flax seeds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, etc. are vegetarian sources of omega 3s and omega 6s. Without the mercury.
Please post your thoughts and comments here. Are you up for a new habit?
