I didn't make it by the 14th. Too bad for me. I am still doing pretty good on the water though. I got a walking video and am working on making exercise a routine, and I am still working on the eating. I am getting better and even though I didn't get it started by the 14th at least I am still working on it, so yay for me anyways.

my challenge is to loose 3 lbs in a week while drinking 80 fl. oz of water and exercising 3 times a week for a minimum of 30 minutes duration... my reward the time to read to my son his devotional and then spend time with my son

I met my goals - I worked out over 3 times per week and had over 8 glasses of water per day. I likes that challenge it got me motivated to work out. Now for the reward - when can I get someone to watch my kids so I can go shopping by myself!!??

I didn't reach my goals. I set that I was going to exercise for 30 minutes 3 times a week and drink 100 oz of water per day. I started off great, then I got sick (along with the rest of my family) and laid on the couch for a week while I was overcome with sickness. So, I didn't exercise that week, nor did I drink my full amount of water. It was good having a goal to strive for though. My next goal is to reach my first 20 pounds of weight lost. DH promised to buy me a Yankee housewarming candle as a reward. I want that! LOL

Well.. I didn't lose the 5 lbs. I wanted to in the past 2.5 weeks,, did lose enough inches from my waist and hips to make my pants feel different though.
I also vowed to ride my bike at home everyday and did stick to that. I started off only being able to do 5 minutes comfortably, but can do 15 no problem. When I am in the gym I do 15 minutes on the bike, then 60 minutes alternating between cardio and strenghth training.. I've also added some exercise with my ball at home, and resistance bands.. My kids have joined in too...

Don't know whether to reward myself or not. I made it under 300, but just barely. Wanted to lose 5 lbs and I only lost 4. I think I won't reward myself this time, will make me try harder for the next. Great job everyone! Keep up the great work!

I didn't reach my goal either, but that was mostly because I was lacking some motivation and self control (although I don't want to admit that..but it is true.) So, now I'm setting an Easter goal...that's about 6 weeks away...now I just need to figure out what that goal will be! Hopefully, something more achievable!!

Well I reached my goal. I joined late so I wanted to walk 12 miles on the treadmill in 10 days. Well I did even better. As of today I walked 15.5 miles in ten days. Not bad. Now I have something to improve upon. Thanks for setting up this challenge, they are fun and keep me on track.

I actually gained weight instead of losing but I lost 5% body fat and have been working out very hard- so I am still going to give myself my reward. I probably should have picked a goal that didn't have to do with the scale. It does not always cooperate.

Things have been nuts at work and at home, so I haven't been tracking. :( No pedicure for me! But that doesn't mean I'm quitting entirely.

I am new to spark, but a challenge sounds great. I am starting very late, so my goal is to drink eight glasses of H2O a day, and to get 150 minutes of exercise in by the 14th.
I will reward my self with flowers, no matter how expensive they are on V-Day

YES!!!! I accomplished part of my goal, which was to make it through an entire 60 minute Firm workout!!! I kept up the pace and made it all the way through without pausing or stopping. I feel awesome!!

I'm on track to complete my other goal of working out 5 times a week.

I hope everyone is close to reaching their goals!

Hey all 30 SOMETHINGS! Tonight is my weigh in for BABES week 2, and tomorrow is my week 3 weigh in for SP. I'm getting so close to my sweetheart challenge that I'm adding an additional 5 pounds to my original goal of 10 pounds. I didn't know I would do so well or be this committed. I am pretty sure, even though I am not a leader on this board, that you are not too late at all.
I remember when I went below that 300 mark. I could have ran home all the way from my TOPS meeting... well, it was about 7 miles from home and 8 degrees, so I didn't, LOL, but I remember that feeling of excitement.
Way to go... I am so happy for you on your weight loss and I think your rewards are fantastic.

If not, I would like to make my goal 5 lbs by valentine's day. That will bring me under 300!

Well, I've been doing fine with my goal of 3+ fruits/veggies per day, but I fudged on my cardio goal - 2 days out of 3 with 30+ mins. :( But I did it this week!! One night I did 60 mins - I can't believe I made it! Most days 30 minutes seems like a stretch, but I really pushed myself that one night and watched TV at the same time which I think helped the time go by faster. Boy was I sore after though!

Hello folks. Sorry I've been MIA but life has been somewhat crazy lately. I just wanted to pop in and say that I am on a 16 day streak getting at least 3 servings of fruit and veggies in, and most days I'm hitting 4 or 5 servings. So I am doing well on my goal. Ok...by Feb 14...I want to weigh 225..or less! LOL

I have joined a gym and been going to group classes. One is called "body blaster" and wow...I had some serious jello legs when it was done!! I am upping my water again and working muscles I didn't know I had.

Reward...I want a new nightgown - a pretty, "girly" nightgown. A red one. LOL Not a sleepshirt or pj's...

Okay sweethearts..I have upped the ante for myself and I joined a gym with my dad so I will have more options than the treadmill and DVD's! So I am on my way to 3x a week and closer to the 8 lbs.

I'm going to jump in, too! I want to be below 280 by 2/14. I have been jumping around between 280 and 289 for over a year, and now I've joined SP and am dedicating myself to seeing that number start down again. If I can see a number starting with 27- I will be ecstatic, LOL! For a reward I want to have my car detailed by a professional:)

4.01 lbs to go by Feb14th!!

Golean-that is great that you are watching your portions! Good for you!!!! Something that helps me to stick to my portions is to drink 2 cups of water B4 dinner then one cup during. It fills me up, therefor the portions I'm suppose to eat is very satisfying!

Hi everyone!
Today is my first day and this challenge is exactly what I need to jump start my new life! I have a few goals to reach by 2/14/08
1) Drink 8 glasses of water a day
2) NO SODA
3) Work out 30 minutes a day
4) Lose 10-15 lbs

This sounds like fun. I am going to loose 5 lbs by feburary 14th. I am going out with dh the weekend before so this is going to be a real challenge to eat healthy out. We are going to Outback. So if I meet my goal I am going to get my hair done. It has been way too long! If I meet my goal early can I do it early. I want to look good for my date with my dh I dont get much time with him alone so I think I will be to excited to eat anyway.

I decided on my reward late last night and discussed it with DH. My reward for reaching my goal is to have the time to make something for myself. Something just because I want it, not necessarily because I need it. I do lots of sewing for my children, friends, and family and rarely for myself. DH thought that was a great idea and is ready to take on our 5 children all on his own for several hours straight to give me uninterrupted time to sew for me! Now I get to dream of what project I want to do...a new shirt..a diaper bag, a purse...hmmm...good thing I have time to figure it out.

How is everyone doing???

I finally decided on a reward. We've been so busy with errands and moving and squeezing in time for a game or a book with our daughter... I decided my reward would be ME time (if I remember what that is LOL). I'd like the time to just sit and read a book, work on my cross stitch or scrapbooking, or paint my nails. So if I meet my goals of 3+ fruits/veggies every day and 3+ cardio sessions per week of at least 30 mins, I'll give myself 30 minutes of me time :)

I've been doing well. The fruits and veggies part is pretty easy. The really tough one for me is the cardio, but I'm making it so far! Hope you are all doing well too!! Keep trying!

I started @ 232 for this challenge and want to lower the scale to 225lbs by the 14th...

What a great challenge! It is about time I became my own SWEETHEART! My challenge to myself is to walk 60 minutes every day (except Saturdays, my day off) between now and Valentine's Day. I just started doing this on Sunday (four days ago), and I am amazed at how much more energized I feel! If I can stick to this, I will treat myself to a massage and pedi.

Well this is my first challenge and i have only been a sparky member since around the 10th I believe. I havn't even started any exercise or food steps yet, just takin' it sloooooowwwwww. LOL. I am just starting to get the water down and I have pretty much formed a regimen for that(32 oz b4 I go to work, and 32 at work) It's working YAYY!. I think my challenge will be to start stretching 6 days a week by the 1st and started on food and cardio by the 14th. My reward will be the joy of knowing that I am moving towards a worthwile goal....as well as a new pair of sneakers. haha. Good luck to all of my team mates, you can do it!!! And so will I because I have you!!! God bless everyone.

Cool, I'll join now. Since I'm just getting started I'll set my goal of drinking 100 oz of water every day between today and the 14th, as well as getting in 30 minutes of exercise 3 days a week. As to my reward...Hmmm...I'll have to think on it and get back to this post later with my decision.

I'm another late joiner...but better late than never, right. This will also be my first challenge. I do pretty well with the water, so my challenge to myself is to get daily exercise. At least a half hour everyday. It's not much but it's a start and way more than I get now.

For my reward....think I'll reward myself with a new pair of shoes. I LOVE shoes.

This is a great and exciting challenge. and I too love the sticker idea. I use it for my kids, why not for myself? My goal is to lose one pants size. My reward would be to buy a new piece of clothing. How great it will feel to buy a smaller size!!
