How do I officially sign up for the challenge - one with the prizes? and also others 2. I am going to attempt it. I done the kickboxing one and loved it.
Joined the sweatsuit to swimsuit bootcamp the other day...lots of interest on some of my teams...not so much on others.

There's another new bootcamp, starting in May, on the 4th. It's called sweatsuit to swimsuit.

Yes! BootCamp was awesome for me. Easy to put in 10 minutes here and there so it is easy to work into what I am already doing.
However, when I tell others about it--they are bored of the idea and don't even want to check it out. What's up with that? Any tips?

Even though I know that boot camp is good for me, for some reason, I am not trying it. I cannot say that I want to begin small because I have been in the beginners stage for quite a while, but, it seems too difficult---and I don't want to give up on the eating rigt part of the diet because of boot camp....

Boot camp was very effective for me. I did all the videos, all the challenges and probably an additional 90 min cardio each day. I am continuing with the videos and the cardio of course.

If you've visited my Sparks Pg? I'm disabled w/thyroid & lupus. So my poor old body doesn't take well to too much strenuos activites- I push on sometimes too much for my own good since I can't tell what's me or too much.

I sure appreciate the update!!! Now, I can relax and forget about what I will do in Feb. I'm very thankful I've been able to do the bootcamp. Maybe I should push myself harder, so I feel more pain. I'm NOT a believer in the no pain, no gain. I BELIEVE, NO INJURY, FUTURE CONTINUES and so do the GAINS. Pain causes set backs. That's my two cents. And, AGAIN THANKS SO MUCH. I surely DO Appreciate you taking the time to keep me informed.

I've heard the Boot Camp will stay as a Team for those that want to keep doing it once the Contest is finally awarded all prizes.
I know that I am definitely going to have to cut back once its over. The every day training is too hard on old & sick joints! Don't get me wrong, I've gotten great muscles from it & lost a few pounds & inches. But I do not live the no pain, no gain & I am definitely in pain!

I'm doing the Bootcamp and have found it to be Exhilarating. My doctor is very impressed with the progress I have made in strength and flexibility. I am challenged my the daily videos, just enough to keep me working and if it seems like too much for me, I back off just as Coach Nicole instructs us to do, so I do not hurt myself.
I was just thinking today, how much I am going to miss the Bootcamps when they end in January.
I wonder when we will have another Bootcamp?

I did it all & then some for 210 min. total yesterday. I have to admit that its starting to take its toll on me. I've got pain issues that I feel are from not enough rest- I'd be interested if anyone's checked to see how many injuries or opt outs were due to too much working out. I know I'm an 'over achiever'. 6-10 Workouts just don't seem to do it in my mind. But I'm definitely going to have to start sticking to those times from here on in.
I do wish there were more Pilate's/Yoga, less stressful us older & rheumatoid folks.

I did the Bootcamp during the summer too. I like being able to use the stability ball with the new videos - extra work on the core. Thanks to Coach Nicole and SparkPeople for the nice variety of exercise videos!!

Hey MoeD- I'm in & under! whew!! I'm considered an over achiever at exercise in my Teams & these have given me a NEW perspective on my fitness. I've discovered muscles I'd forgot I have!! Day 1 was hectic cause I'd never used a Stability Ball before- it was like working out on boiled okra! I tried to do it twice but the darn Ball was so scary- I've already experienced one work out injury last yr. NOT looking to do THAT again.
Day2- was better more along my usual fitness routine.
Day3- I'm feeling the pain! Muscles really working to. But loosened up so much I stuck it out for double sessions on ALL the challenges including the Bonus.
And yeah, seeing that Coach Nicole was feeling the workout too- made me feel less a wimp!
I've also posted this event on ALL my 3 Teams & the areas Resource page for my town Sparks provides.
FYI- I've also found a great web site that allows local Blog & Post that will submit it for you to the local Media's you select & its all free- Sparks has given me the thumbs up on everything except the option listed there for member donations. Its called AmericanTowns.com. You all may want to check it out.

I too have little wall space. I had to do it in my office and turn my monitor the other way so I could do it. Does get a little harried though when I have to reach up...my office is upstairs in the house and has sloped ceilings...could be painful...lol. Good luck!

Barb I had to move furniture and wall hangings for this one... I live in a small condo and every inch of wall space has something
It was a challenge:) but like you it got me using the ball again!

Yes, Maureen. I am also participating. I didn't have my exercise ball blown up so I tried to improvise. Well, let me tell you....after one time through the video like that, I made a trip to the store and bought a pump so I could blow it up and do the video again. Have had that ball for over a month now....just what I needed to get it out and use it.

I've done the first two days and have really enjoyed it. Before we started, I wondered if I'd be able to do it, but I can!! And yes, I find it comforting that Coach Nicole is also breathing a little hard while doing the routines!! I'm pleased that the workouts I'd been doing on my own, before the bootcamp started, are actually getting me in shape...can't imagine being able to do these workouts (even for just 10 minutes) a year ago!!

Hi Everyone
Wondered if there are any STS team members participating in New You Bootcamp.
Would love to discuss the routines with STS members
I did Day One yesterday and it kicks it...literally!
I liked it so much I did it 2x!
Feedback from my GOYAAM! team was HELL YEAH! The highest compliment! Quite a few members were comforted to hear Coach Nicole breathing with them!
Many of us find it to be a great way to get up and moving and it really shows that you can do A LOT in just 10 minutes...
What do you think?
The link to Day One is below...give it a go if you haven't already!
