I'm doing horrible! I was alright, but then I went on vacation to the middle of nowhere for a week. I was in a cabin that was totally secluded with no electricity and therefore no internet access. I slipped big time and now I'm having trouble motivating myself.

I should just force myself to make the change today. Time to hop onto the bandwagon!

Hi all, I'm plugging along...one thing this month will have taught me--I'm not certain to be working hard enough any more in my aerobic activity and in strength training. I have had a month of near stagnation. I think it is time to break down and get a cardio monitor and see how much I am realy working. I'm afraid what I did in the past, and what worked, I have grown out of and it is time for some big changes. Doing 3 'circuit trainings' with combined cardio and different weight lifting and calisthenic activities will be part of the start of the change.

In a sense, it is good news, it means I am much more fit than I was.

But, I don't want to have to commit more time than I do to exercise, so I need to make it more efficient and harder. I also don't want to drop calories dramatically...

Leg muscles!! WooHoo!

The line down the center of my stomach is more and more pronounced, my half -a -six-pack- with every day that goes by. How do I get the horozontal lines??? Is it possible?? Or will I just be bisected vertically??

Yes, my knees make funny noises when I do lunges...LOL I've noticed that I've been getting a lot better on my ST and my legs are actually showing some muscles! LOL

Well I admit my squats look quite scary and feel even worse. My goodness, my knees were making sounds that scared me LOL. I SO look forward to losing this weight and being able to do things that are good for me without sound effects that include cracking LOL.

I think I'm doing ok. I was sore in the morning but I think its because I do them at night after my daughter goes to bed. I know the lunges I only did 40 but everything else I managed do them all.

I did this last month, for the whole month and I swear, I was objectively looking at my legs last night, I can feel the muscles in them, and see them in the right light. It is a real kick. It makes me very motivated to think that with a bit more of the fat gone, underneath, there is good stuff. People definitely also think I have lost way more weight than I have, and I'm sure that is because of gaining muscle. If squats give you troubles, change them to "pliés", like the ballet dancers do, hold on the the edge of the bar or a table facing it with you legs apart a bit, toes a bit out and slowly bend your knees and go down and up, kind of a modified squat, would be a good sub for a squat or a lunge. I like them, they make your thighs really work.

Strillo--yes, I agree, lunges aren't easy-- but you REALLY get results!

You may find it easier to edit one of your posts to put in a 'done' rather than copying the whole thing--it works for me---I'm too lazy to follow really long threads too.

Got to do my pushups yet today, but they too give good results.....

Be sure to warm up and cool down with some simple stretching first.

If you don’t have dumbbells, a bottle of water is fine, or anything with some weight to it. You don’t have to do 50 of each, adapt to your level. Feel free to sub exercises with other SP exercises if you like.
