I'm new . . . and just got a WiiFit on Friday, and I haven't missed a day.

I'm pretty proud of this. I've been walking 3x a week, prior to this, but I'm hoping this will kick my weight loss into overdrive. Exercise always makes a huge difference.

You can do it, and you DESERVE it!

After the mess of this last week, I really need to start my workout streak again (and Step 3 over)LOL - I've just been soo busy ...

This whole week has been horrible in terms of working out consistantly. I am not sure if its motivation I am lacking or maybe since this week was both my wife's bday and anniversary. I hope to get this undercontrol this week. I want do alot of differnt things this week to try to get my body moving again.

I went out with family last night and before I ate all of my food on my plate I had the waiter bring out a box for me. I cut my chicken into two parts and limited what I ate, I go the salad with italian dressing and corn with no butter. I'm doing great and you guys can do the same just think about what your about to eat and if you take your time you wont over do it.

Getting ripped one day at a time!

Wow. I dont think that I will be able to get a streak gonig this week. I have my wife's bday today so we are being taken out to eat and then our aniversay on saturday. I guess I will have to squeeeze in a good hour of wii fit tommorow.

Well, today I reached and I caught my star ^..^ LOL - but, I'm exhausted. 30 min bike ride (to and from the store) 30 min walking (up the hills and in the store) LOL ^..^ Whew - I think I'm going to sit down and have some water and rest for a bit LOL

strength training on SP is logged as 5 min. per line entry. So you could just put in "Wii Strength" for a custom exercise and then put in your log, say 8 times for a total of 40 min.

I just count all Wii Fit as "Aerobics:General:Low Impact" on the cardio, while cutting the non-aerobics minutes in half.

My daughter got Wii Fit for her birthday and I am so glad. I LOVE it. Does anybody know how to log your Wii strength workouts? When I do aerobics I can just enter the time that I workout, but I did every strength excercise that I have available today and I spent 40 minutes, but I don't want to have to manually enter every single exercise. Any ideas? emoticon

I have to aggree that the Wii fit is a great tool but if you can not get your hands on one then the best thing is Wii's Dance Dance Revolution Hottest party and at least doing the Wii Sports at least 30 minutes a day.

DDR...on any game console...just be aware..DDR: Mario Mix for Gamecube (works on Wii) is super easy--great for kids (and a lot of fun), but not so much for working out.

I just got my Wii yeserday- Still looking for Wii Fit.

I did a bit of boxing last night - Holy arms Bat Man, lol! I can tell its going to be a workout - fun playing with the kids too. Looking foward to doing some tonight.

What other games do your recommend that are good for exercising on the Wii?

Monday Day 1 streak done. Going for two. Yeah I would not panic with the weight in. I should know because when I first start working out it says I weigh a number and when I am done working out another number. I think the only way to make sure that you have a good number is if it give you the same number twice.

Well, the scale might be off balance, or simply different than the other scale you are using, you might be having some water retention as well. As Lobo suggested, it might be best to not panic until you check it a couple of times! :D

I think if you really want to make sure it accurate you will have to go and check it out on a scale first. Then you can see how close it is. Mine have been pretty close. I would suggest doing the body test at least 2 time before accpeting the results. You may not have it on the floor correctly or standing on it correctly. Streak broke on Sunday. I have at least gotten it to where I can do 4 days straight and then its 1 out of 3 days for friday, saturday and sunday.

Well I mean for instance, I went and got on it today and it said since yesterday I have gained 12 something pounds!!!!! That would mean I would have to have ate 42000 cals just yesterday. And did no workout. But I ate healthy and worked out. I weighed myself the same time every day, when I first wake up. Grrrrrrr... emoticon

I think it's pretty accurate, the hard part is guessing the weight of your clothes right (if they're not quite 2 lbs., then you will have your weight slightly off.)

I had to work really late last night and did not get my wii fit in to feel better. I did use it to weigh myself and do a body test but thats all the time I really had time for. 290 is what it read. 1 lbs from 289 and the 15 lbs lost marker.

Did another hour of Wii fit yesterday. Did about 45 minutes of aerorbics and about 15 minute of strength training and yoga. Feeling pretty good so far. Lets see what day 3 brings.

I did an hour of Wii Fit yesterday and it felt pretty good. I think I will do an hour again today. I have really gotten after it as of late. I now just start off at the exepert rythmn boxing and advance step.

Okay I know that I was doing good at this but I have been messing up my streaks the past week. Mainly do to working late. Thursday and Friday I did not work out. Then put in 45 min on Saturday and nothing on Sunday. Grrr. I had the streak thing going pretty good up until this week.

I have never been much of a treadmill person. It hurts my knees to walk on it. Yeah I blame it on the coach in high school that made us jump on to blocks that popped a lot of us big guys knees alot. Yeah a 300 pound man hoping up on to a box 1 foot high on one leg will put some stress on it.

Are you holding the Wiimote in your hand? I know the game suggests putting it in a pocket. Well, it did say that you could hold it if necessary, I think. But if you could put it in a pocket or tuck it in your waistband, that would probably help--that is, if it's based on forward/back motion. If it's based on up/down (stepping bounces it type thing), then the gazelle might be to smooth of a walk for it.

You can also use your mini trampoline.

I do have one problem when I use my gazelle ~ it does not work too well with my arm movements. I have to sway my arms across to get my guy to work.

Not sure what I am doing wrong.

I've heard about the treadmill...someone else suggested running around the room (they had trouble staying still, I think it hurt their knees to stay in one place).

Oh right for the running part of the game I never though about putting the treadmill up to the tv for the running in place workout. Hmmm interesting.

I love Wii Fit~

Over the weekend I learned I could use the treadmill or gazelle with Wii Fit. My gazelle is no longer collecting dust.

My DH is still at it working out everymorning and night. This is great for him to keep this up.

One step at a time!

Thanks for the article. I guess that would explain everything then. My streak ended yesterday at 11 days in a row. Bummer. I was looking forward to keeping it going strong. Oh well. Time reset the clicker and keep going forward. New streak starts today. Woo hoo.

Nice job Jose on 9 days in a row. I did several songs in DDR Hottest Party last night. I felt like one of the Pips, I was swinging my arms so hard. I also was doing as many steps in between counted steps to get extra calories burnt per song. Mark me down for a 1 day streak so far. See what I can do tonight.

Yesterday was day nine and I though should be shifting downwards but instead has been going up. I was startig to get scared but I have notices something. My posture is better I have more energy now then I did before and I get fuller faster when I eat. So why the gain. Well I think it mainly has to do with water. So I guess I can not complain there.

Thats cool thats the kind of streak we are looking for. That why this is wii fit, wii sport and exercise 30/min day streak. We are not excludding anyone from this. It can be DDR, or other exercises too.

OK, I've seen you mention this detox a few times....what is this you speak of? I'm personally trying to cut out sugar for a week or so and then bring it back in healthy forms.

As for the streak; I'll try to get some activity each day, but just don't know if it can be Wii Sport. I'll post my exercise streak here with you all. Current streak: 0 days lol

detox...umm yeah the detox...ummm lol. Yesterday was day 8 of consecutive 30 minute workouts. It has been a while since I have been able to do this feat and I still want to continue doing it. Jumpstarting my routine is what I needed with Wii Fit. Do not worry about having wii fit to do this challenge. You do not need to I put Wii Sports or other exercises as suffucient enough.

I have been bad at keeping streaks these past few months and Wii Fit has actually kept me going pretty strong the past week. I have gotten a 7 day streak going and hope to continue that further this week. How long of a streak can you do? Post here your results and how long you are able to do it.
