Hey guys! It's the weekend, I'm bored, and there hasn't been much action on this page. I've been trying to cut down on my internet usage at work and am not motivated to post when I get home. :-)

Hi Team...

Okay so I think its time for us to take first place again... In order to help us reach that goal how about a mini challange from now until next weigh in... here is what I was thinking...

Lets start with the basics and make sure we got them down pat and next week we can up it.

Water - Drink 8 to 10 glasses a day.
Exercise - 30 minutes 3 - 4 times a week.
Food - Get within your range.

Hello Team!!! How is everyone feeling about weigh in tomorrow?

I am not feeling so great about it due to my lack of healthy choies this past weekend. I have been doing much better and I feel better but I don't think that will garuntee a loss for me this week. We will see. I am sure that if I don't lose this week- next week will be amazing!!!

JP gratz on picking up turbo jam! I *really* like the MDB/Beachbody line of videos. They are really quality products! I think turbo Jam is beyond me right now but I'm hoping to get into Power 90 and Power 90X by the time I hit my goal weight.

I got the whole set baby!!! I am pumped!!! LOL I think there is a whole sparkteam dedicated to Turbo Jam users... and I think in the fitness tracker add cardio menu kickboxing is listed with (including turbo jam) next to it! Mad calories burned!!! I cant wait to get it. There was no "overnight" option otherwise I would have had it already... Im not big on waiting for things to come...

Way to go, team! I have really ramped up my exercise lately, so what I need to focus on is consistently tracking EVERYTHING I eat. I will probably sit down with the boyfriend tonight and figure out a meal plan for the evenings this week, too. I do well during the day when I'm at work, but when I get home it's like I go a little crazy and want sugar galore. Good luck!

Here are my goals

I too have to limit my time on the computer when I come home. Too much computer and no exercise does now work out for me.

My other goal is to do more quilting. I am slacking on that one and the projects are not getting done.

Work out on my gazelle for at least 15 minutes everyday.

I have two goals as well:

1) Limit my computer time at home, especially on weeknights--to no more than 1.5 hours (I waste a LOT of time on the computer at home).

2) Make more of an effort to work out after work at the Y near where I work (that's a lot of "works" for one sentence). I'm shooting for twice this week.

I hear ya... "tom" came around and I have been eating like there is no tomorrow- mostly on okay foods (besides the brownies) and I have been so tried and weak I havent exercised... I am up to 184.4 but I have lost an inch off my waist... so I know the gain is just from the week.

Well, I weighed this morning and I'm about at the same as I was last week. I didn't have a stellar weekend though, so I'm not feeling too bad about it. I've really enjoyed being a part of the challenge! And just to put this out there--while it's heartening to "win" something, I don't care one way or the other if someone has a bad week. Okay team... you have to weigh in every week. Whether you gained or not you must weigh in. Just like the show you cant chose not to weigh in because you didn't do well. Don't worry about bringing the team down or what have you. Its not fair to the other teams if we are chosing when we want to participate and when we dont. Im sorry if I am being harsh but chosing not to weigh in because of a gain is cheating. If you do not want to participate everyweek then you probably shouldnt participate at all. We are here to support one another through losses and gains.

Well, I weighed myself yesterday and today and weighed 5 and then 7 pounds less than I've been at for MONTHS. I'd avoided weighing myself the past few weeks (thus my absence from the contest), but I've been really trying to track my food carefully and work out regularly. It might just be a getting-back-into-things-jumpstart-weightl
oss (plus I'd been weighing myself in the evening and switched to the morning, so that makes a difference), but I'll take it! Hopefully I'll still have good news on Wednesday morning.

I am fine, had a weird week, being in Germany, in a new unit. Just had to waste 5 days there and in process. Monday my educational leave starts, full time student here I come! Very nice people, but what a waste of time... and I ate very weird. The only real meal I had was lunch, because at night I didn't feel like leaving base or eating in the Casino by myself. So I had mostly rice cakes and ramen noodles.

At least I didn't gain any weight though ;)

Help! I'm losing it! I almost NEVER get fast food, but I stopped at Wendy's and got a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger with a small fries and coke (which I didn't drink all of) and then I came home and had a Totino's party pizza and Pepsi. Oh my gosh...I hate that feeling of losing control. The fact of the binge is super embarrassing, but I feel better getting it in the open rather than keeping to myself and slowly giving up on Spark. The very least I need to do is get a workout--DDR here I come! I hope all is well for everyone else.

Congradulations! I think that beats any news from my weekend hands down. Wedding planning is only as stressfull as you let it become. Don't belive all the hype that your wedding is the most important day of your life and it if it isn't perfect your life will be ruined. The years that follow after the wedding are way more important.

For some reason the wireless internet on my computer decided not to work yesturday. No idea why, so I'm suck sneeking time in on hubbies computer right now. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to my vacation starting on Friday. I've got a lot of things on the todo list to finish off first though.

"gobble, gobble, snarf, snarf... whoops, the whole bag is gone..." Amber, this gave me a genuine giggle at my desk. :-) All too familiar...

Last weekend when my D&D group got together I got a bag of grapes (I unwittingly bought 2.5 pounds at $5.99/pound--yikes!) for a a munching snack. That sort of helping with avoiding the zebra cakes, chips and pop, plus they were easy for everyone else to munch on too. I might get another healthy (and less expensive) something for our game Sunday.

Have a good weekend, everyone! I know I will! We're renting "The Host" and "Junebug" tonight, both of which I suspect I will really enjoy.

If it wasnt for crystal lite I wouldnt drink anywater. I dont like just plain water. I mean sure I can have a glass or two of poland springs bottled but thats all I can do. So i just drink crystal light... 8 - 10 a day. Even though crystal light has calories and what not I still think its a lot better than not drinking water. Have fun with D&D tonight!

For me it's the chocolate. Egads! I LOVE chocolate! I think it's something about being allergic to it as a child and not getting to have it as much... now that I can.. gobble, gobble, snarf, snarf... whoops, the whole bag is gone...

So I try to veer clear of the candy aisle and keep the stuff away from me as much as possible!

This week has been okay so far... I've stayed under my limits for calories and though I haven't made the best choices, I've been AWARE that I was making the choices, which makes me happy cuz that will help me make better ones as I go along.

I've gotten all my water in, too. That's been a struggle, but crystal lite helps me with that. And I haven't had any carbonated drinks! I'm very proud of that accomplishment. Now I just need to stay away from them tonight at Game night...D&D. Can't wait. I'll make a huge thing of strong tea beforehand and drink that all night. That way I shouldn't be tempted by all the carbonation around me. :-)

I love candy, especially chocolate, but I haven't been eating it that much lately. Not as much as I used to, anyway. The scale isn't really moving down but I suppose that's helping it to not move up.

I'm feeling sick today, but as it's pretty much just a sinus/sore throat/swollen glands thing, I might try and do a moderate ride on the stationary bike on my lunch today anyway. Yay for Friday!!!

My struggle is beer. I love beer, and I'm particular about it. I can stomach Mich ultra amber, and Like Sam Adams light....but I can't always get them around my neck of the woods. I prefer micro brews, and good thing they're not available unless I am on an out of town splurge.
I also love wine, but that's easier to account for now and then.

I had problems getting my calories together the last two days... my sleeping schedule is still all whacko from the trip to the states and back, so I slept through dinner twice.
but geesh, it is nice to have hot chocolate milk in the middle of the night without a guilty conscience.
oh and Eggo Chocolate Chip Waffles are my new favourite for breakfast... 210 for 2 ain't too bad ;)

I think that jumping and dancing in the mosh pit definitely counts towards exercise. ;-)

Welcome, Natchestern! (please forgive me if I misspelled ur name!)

Just had a near-miss with the vending machine. Since I work at a bank, it's really easy to get change for the silly machine. And I was STARVING. BUT! I put my money up and grabbed a Special K Bar instead (about 170 calories, full of good vitamins and protein and such) that I keep on hand for just this type of emergency. It even tastes really good! LOL

I feel SO much better. And even moreso for not giving in and going to the vending machine! I'll put that $5 in my ultimate goal reward jar tonight to keep me from having the temptation to use it again. ;-)

I almost dropped out once too, feeling guilty about a gain...

We can lose this contest, but not be losers at all being here for each other. Even the motivation to get BACK on track is enough reason to stay in the challenge. Winning isn't everything.

Welcome, Nachtstern!

So, I have a question, everyone: I went to a concert last night and spent a good part of it (40 minutes, maybe?) in the mosh pit (we saw a ska band--Streetlight Manifesto--and the rest of the crowd ended up being teenagers hell-bent on squishing people to death). Do I count the dancing and jumping around I did? I think I'm going to. My abs are sore today, anyway....

Thanks, April, for the reminder to look at the bright side. We are all still here, aren't we? And that's great!

I have to say that I honestly was so embarrassed that I thought BRIEFLY about leaving the team. I was just so embarrassed! But I've taken up my mantra again: If you don't quit, you can't fail!

Setbacks happen. We just have to hold our heads up high and remember that we CAN do this!
