I do not think that you will get any exercise switching arms on baseball. I think it would be kind of funny seeing a right handed person trying to play left. I had some friends over on the weekend and one of them was left handed it and it somewhat funny watching him struggle with it since all the mii's i had set up did not have any of them as being left handed.

Yeah I understand how you would have trouble on the bowling. The tennis one would be alot easier to train both arms if you hold the controller with both hands when making your swings. In that game you get pretty good use of both sides. When I play real tennis I use both hands for a forward swing and back swing. The only time I do not use them is for a serve.

In the boxing game I try to evenly use my arms. When I get a chance to hit my opponent I use a left right left combo one time and a right left rigth combo the following time. You know that part when it does a slow motion swing that you get to counter. Also I found that anytime the other person does a high swing either from the left or right it takes a little bit longer to bring in the arm so you have a chance to smack him in the face. Just a tip. Got past 3000 Saturday. Took a while but now each time I win the only give me 5 or 6 points.

Thats really good, your doing great. But i gotta question, do you think your working out one arm more than the other? I try to trade out my arms but i do a really bad job and lose points but i want both arms to be even!

Yes I have been doing the boxing training for it. That is how I have gotten really good at it. I finally made it past 3000. I took alot of matches won to get there after dropping points here and there for not winning. When your up that high in points your wins have to be perfect almost. You can not get knocked down and have to at least beat your opponent by the 2nd round. That only gives you 6 points. Next goal is 4000.

That is so weird.....shakes fist....Well maybe they think you have to get them knocked out before the first 10 seconds of first round in order to get the points.Congrats on 2999 though, hate to go against you! Keep trying though. Have you been doing any of the trainings for it?

I was up to 2999 but then after winning a match I lost 17 points. I guess they do not want me getting to the 3000 level.

I am really trying to reach the level of 3000 in the boxing game. I spent 30 minutes playing the Wii to reach that goal. I came up short in the 30 minutes but hope to reach it today. No knock outs but a lot of first round knock outs by my Mii.

Got to get back on track with the six week challenge yesterday by doing 30 minutes on the Wii in the boxing catagory. I really did work out a sweat and got my heart rate up and pumping. I felt really good afterwards and was satisfied with at 2700 rating in boxing. My goal now is to reach 3000 points. That is alot of knock outs. LOL

I have not been able to work out using the Wii for the past 2 days and last Friday. I feel I am slipping away from this challenge. I have been trying to fill the void with something else and feel fit but not as fit as when a get finished with a good 30 minute workout from the Wii. I hope not to let it slip by today.

Day 4: Did another 30 minutes of Wii Boxing. I am still around the 2500 point range as a boxer and I sometimes I am given trouble with some of my opponents. No loss yesterday which was good did start jogging in place after every knock down of my opponent to boost my heart rate. Good work out.

Day 3: I did 30 minutes of Wii Boxing. I did 20 minutes of the game boxing and 10 minutes of the training using the punching bag. My arms were throbbing with that 10 minutes of training.

Day 2: Doing pretty good today. I did 30 minutes of Wii Boxing on Tuesday and I think I was really working the arms after being knocked out in the 2nd round by the Wii. I do know it this has happened to you but when you've knocked the other guy down like 3 times to just one knock down for you, do you think that's fair. I couldnt get up from the my first knock down. I guess the system has to win sometimes.

Hey guys - one day down, 6 weeks - 1 to go :) too late to work that out.

For HR/cals I have a Polar watch that does it for me, they're a good investment - I have the F55 but there are a few models. I like it because I know what my body is doing, as opposed to what the averages say my body might be doing.

Wii Boxing has been the best for getting the HR up. Especially when you get that one opponent who is being annoying and you have to work on them a bit.

Keep it up folks, the wiivolution is upon us ;)

Yes the heavier you are the more calories you will burn. I am just using the website as a way to calculate since someone else has done it.It is kind of like the food on this website. Its not 100% accurate some of the time and you just go with the best estimate. I weight 286 so I am pretty sure I am burning more than 250 every 30 minutes of boxing. For purposes of tracking though I will use that since I do not have one of those meters that calculate that. Wow good questions!

Well i really like the boxing and i do it really aggresive. So far on the first day i got the wii i was boxing so hard i lifted my knee up off the ground to lunge forward and slammed the remote into my knee giving me a big bruise and the t.v screen has suffered the wrath of my fists. Hubby says i get nutty and too into it. But what about different weights? Like that person might be 190 and i'm 166, doesnt that make a difference of how much cals you burn?

I manually had to get those numbers in. Bowling burns 72 every 15 minutes. Boxing burns 125 every 15 minutes and tennis burns 92 every 15 minutes. I got these numbers from the guy that did the Wii experiment. I will put up the link to his page in a bit. He only had those 3 sports converted to calories burn. Mind you that you have to play aggressively with to burn that much. Boxing you have to move your feet and use full swings. Bowling you have to do the strides like real bowling and tennis move around when returning a hit and usuing full swings. No cheating!
